Lifelong Miami fan. Living in Alabama. Graduated from Auburn University (my second favorite team). What you got?
Lifelong UM fan. Graduated in 94. Worked many years with a rabid Alabama fan. Graced me with 12 Days of Why Alabama's Going To Whoop Miami for Christmas in 1992. I was subjected to a daily reminder of that game for a full month and every single time football came up in conversation until his passing two years ago. Followed many years later with gloating quotes about the 1993 Sugar Bowl added to his email signature.

I hate Alabama.

The Hurts love-fest is somewhat overblown. He actually made the smart decision by staying at Bama for this season.

This isn't the Kelly Bryant situation, where this is his last season.

Hurts would have had to sit out anyplace he went if he transferred this season. So, he's actually playing and practicing with Bama. And still has the chance to transfer out at the end of this season as a grad-transfer.

All he did was sacrifice an extra season of playing ... Meaning he'll have 1 season left to play in college, instead of 2. If he can go some place and be "Kyler Murray" for a year, he'd still get drafted.

Nope. He could have done exactly what Kelly Bryant did and transferred after four games. Hurts has not used his redshirt. He could have redshirted this season after 4 games (just like Bryant), transferred and started right away next year at a new school.

I feel ya pain, but I got ya beat on having to deal with these ********. You reference one rabid bama fan. I live amongst these fools!! And to take it up a notch higher, a kid from our area (John Copeland) was on that **** 92 team. You can't even imagine the isht I took from the locals being a Canes fan. Give me Isis in a matchup with those ********.

Bryant sat out this season because he had to, to keep his eligibility to play another season.

Hurts played this season, and will still have another year of eligibility next season. Hurts is on pace to graduate in December, so he will be a grad-transfer, and still eligible to start right away next season.

Had he sat out this season (after 4 games), he would have 2 years of eligibility.

What Quarterback wouldn't look great with two 5 star Mark Richt misses at Wide Receiver? (Jeudy and D. Smith)
It was that other kid, the freshman, that I was impressed with. Good lord that kid is good.

The entire second half the momentum was full swing in Alabama's favor. Malik Rosier himself would've staged a comeback. When Alabama gets rolling like that on offense and defense it's impossible to stop them.

Yes, and because Hurts played more than 4 games this year, he cannot use a redshirt for 2018. This means if he transfers after this season, he will have to sit out a year.

No, he won't. He'll be a grad transfer, and eligible to play immediately.

I know it seems like he's been at Bama forever, but he's a true junior. He has another year of eligibility. Bryant was/is a true senior. So, next season is his RS=Senior season.

Has Jalen Hurts already finished his bachelor program? You have to graduate to be a grad transfer.

You win, but I'm on your heels.

The SEC Championship and Alabama are a big deal. What wouldn't ESPN be covering it? I still think the SEC should get two automatic qualifiers.
