Enos

Him and his wife wanted to live in Miami. If dude was hunting for a H.C. gig that bad he'd have run Saban's offense with Tua for a championship and picked a job after that. He's not your average and says plainly; I don't do what people expect. Maybe he's content with being an OC at the University of Miami and raising his kids. There's more to life than football.

14 jobs in his coaching career. He’s anti stability. Plus if he does well here u don’t think HC jobs will cone his way? Again 2 yrs is my estimation

Barry Jackson wrote an article quoting Enos as saying he has spurned the NFL many times because he loves the coaching, teaching and mentoring part of college football.

The guy lives in Pinecrest and works at a great place; it’s difficult to leave paradise especially if you find success.

How many times have u heard a CFB coach say those exact words and then leave overnight? Lol countless times. I mean, I don't ecpect him to say that he's going to coach here until he gets a good NFL offer. I expect him to say exactly what he did, and that's telling the people what they want to hear.

If you notice the exodus of coaches from Nick Saban's programs, that program is a meat grinder. Enos might win a championship with Tua, but if you can get paid the same amount and not have to deal with a dude who treats his staff like dogsh#t, why wouldn't he move? I think he will end up being a HC in 3 years at a major P5 or possibly the NFL (he's not going to go to another P5 program to be an OC, and I don't think he wants to be a NFL OC- but if he gets a Klingsbury deal he'll be a NFL HC).

If Enos turns Miami into a top 10 offense and into the playoffs, there will be the same amount of jobs available for the same amount of money that he would get if he won a championship with Alabama. In fact, NFL GMs and big time college programs might be even more impressed with him leading Miami into the playoffs since Saban generally gets ALL the credit for victories at Alabama (and Bama has the best team that money can buy).

Yawn.

We will have him 3 years max. Will be severely overrated after this year bc of how abysmal the offense looked last year. I believe his next step will be to the NFL. Really seems like more of a NFL guy than college.
Other than him saying himself he essentially is not an nfl guy.

So how big is the bus going to be that Enos gets thrown under by the chinstrap fans?

With a defensive HC, this guy seems like the perfect kind of OC for us. I know hes had an up and down track record but his approach to QBs has me excited. Seems like a very analytical kind of guy who is very focused. Detail oriented. I hope we can keep him in the long run because it seems recruits, the team and his peers respect him. What's everyone's thoughts so far?
I think he's the perfect guy on OF to reflect Diaz. Both on the same page to right this program. Demand perfection and excellence! Don't let the gas off and zero slacking! This is what we have missed around here for a long time!!

I think I read where he said Miami was a powder keg “ready to explode” and that he was happy to get in at the beginning. Plus, he got his QB he wants for next years class.

I see him going to his alma mater before the nfl

My biggest worry with him is that he has been semi successful at most of his stops, then why the heck he can not stay where he was successful. I also believe if Canes get 2 years good and 3 would be a miracle.

He’s said in the past when he took the job that he doesn’t stick with the norm or do the expected decisions that come with the profession. And that’s very evident after being offered the bama job as an OC along with others to go to be Miami’s OC, also being at Michigan as a qb coach for a month only to go to nick saban’s staff a month later. As well as being offered an extension as a head coach at central Michigan only to take the job at Arkansas as an OC which seems like a step down for some people but enos moves at his own beat. The accountability he’s making the entire offense have right now is amazing and is what we needed. I like His playcalling too and how he dresses things up with his multi formations and motions in plays which is what we have been lacking. Our tightends and receivers are being used more effectively as throughout spring guys we’re getting schemed open and in the tight end case in particular seemed liked they had more downfield/vertical plays than in recent years too just in that short time people were able to watch the team. He’s going to greatly improve the focus and play of the qb position.

I love those people who don't agree with what u say so they mark your posts as dumb. They don't debate and make a counter argument. They just mark u post as dumb. Lmao @John77

I’d be surprised if Enos is here longer than 3 years.

Just as long as he gets the ship on course regardless of when he leaves...I just wish he could figure out how to combine all 3 QB's into one perfect QB 😃

After all that moving - his wife may have something to say about the matter this next time.

Amazing how the little woman can influence a man's decisions.

Enos is a better OC, than HC, and his time @ CMU proves that. It is obvious that he resigned from his HC job @ CMU with 2 yrs remaining on his deal, because it was very likely that a) he was going to be fired at the conclusion of the season or b) his contract was not going to be renewed/extended. It's important to understand that some coaches are better served/suited to be a coordinator than HC, and that shouldn't be viewed as a negative. Also..just because Enos's career trajectory portrays him as being transient, that doesn't necessarily mean his time @ MIA is also going to be short lived. When you look at his history more closely, it becomes clear that he moves strategically, and very seldom has he ever left a place without it being a vertical career move. Furthermore..when you begin to independently & objectively weigh the various factors/variables that determine whether a job is appealing, it becomes apparent that the MIA job is actually very unique, and one that is going to be difficult for Enos to leave.

1.) He is currently one of the highest paid assistants in all of college football.
2.) He is afforded complete control & autonomy over the Offense, and because he is working for an up & coming/1st time HC, his input is welcomed on a consistent basis. This is a sharp contrast from working for someone like Saban, who is notorious for being a micromanager.
3.) MIA provides him & his family a quality of life that rivals most places in the country.

So to recap-He won't leave to go be a HC at either the college or NFL level, because I seriously doubt whether he'll ever get one of those opportunities. He won't leave to go be an OC at another college, because as I've already mentioned he already has one of the best jobs in the country. Being an NFL OC someday could be appealing, but if the Barry Jackson article is factual, and he's in the coaching profession because he enjoys being a teacher/mentor then remaining in college may ultimately be his true calling.
