Enos was the problem....

Who hired Enos after promising a modern, cutting edge offense (and after bragging about all the candidates who were interested in the job)? We had posters on this site who with just a cursory amount of research sniffed out Enos as an OC who runs a pro style, slow, plodding offense that needs an elite OL to succeed. Yet now we’re supposed to pat Manny on the back for recognizing his mistake and believe he is competent enough to make a smart OC hire and fix the culture that he helped create? I’m not buying it. Next year is just delaying the inevitable. Rinse, repeat.

Fans have yet to make the connection that the Culture problem that Diaz continues to harp about was created and continues to be fostered by him. Many fans continue to buy his BS lisp service, believing an incoming class of 17-18 year old kids will be the ones to change it.

Culture starts at the top and while getting rid of Enos is the right thing to do, it’s also the easy and obvious thing to do. If Manny hopes to have any chance of changing the culture, he is going to have to make some radical changes to the ENTIRE coaching staff and the way he runs this team. He’s got one shot and the margin of error is ultra slim.

Unfortunately, the lack of taking drastic proactive measures since the end of the season does not inspire much confidence in the future. Neither do the clowns he answers to in the AD and BOT. Next year will be another wasted season. Wash, rinse, repeat.
