We're just judging the young man's mechanics, footwork, and poise. He looks anything other than a true freshman. Those things you cannot deny. You guys got all this from 3 pass attempts, in the 4th quarter, against Miami of Ohio's backups huh?
He may very well develop into an excellent backup to Maalik Murphy next season.
Don't think Sagopolu would ever start. Cooper and Kinsler at guard. Pancake and Francis at tackles. Ideally you can get McCoy in the field at center , but who knows if he is too tall for the spotIt's a very small sample size, but **** Emory looks smooth. His footwork in the pocket is better than TVDs right now as a true freshman. He's well poised and looks like he knows where to go with the football.
The young man has all the tools. He has a quick release. Accurate with the football and plenty of zip on it. He appears to be very cerebral as well. I think we'll have really good QB play next year. Jacurri will have to elevate his game if he's going to get on the field next year. The competition will make both of them better.
I don't expect any drop off from the OL as Pancake, McCoy, and Sagapulo step up into bigger rolls with experience from the 2023 season. It's just a question of who will play center.
Ponce was recruiting him at App St. Stayed with him when he became the Miami QB coach. Our fans are such star whores. They still want to deny the young man's talent. He played for a small school over in the panhandle so he wasn't recruited by any P5 schools until after his Miami commitment. It was Ponce who found this kid right?
Just asking....
You're 100% right. I don't know how I forgot about Kinsler. I wish Sagapulo had it between the ears to play OC because he's really unsized at OG and would be the perfect size for OC.Don't think Sagopolu would ever start. Cooper and Kinsler at guard. Pancake and Francis at tackles. Ideally you can get McCoy in the field at center , but who knows if he is too tall for the spot
should be the guy now but...it is what it isWhen I saw the way he took control of the offense in the spring game, I knew we had out next QB
It is what it is till it ain’t. He the goat till he notHere we go again with crowning dudes off 3 plays VS bums! Why do y’all do this to yourselves Cane Family? Why?![]()
Lol. Here’s another for your war chest…He walked up to LoS, looked at sideline, Dawson called play...
Emory DAW GAWD shrugged it off, called HIS audible, looked at Mario and said...

Real deal….I want to see a lot more of him NOW!!!!Nuff said
He’s a big dudeThis is spot on analysis.
Time will tell, but I think he’s gonna be a very good college QB.
I not only think he has potential to be a good college QB ( like I do J Brown).
I’m sure we WILL be a good QB at this level.
You can just tell by his poise and command of the offense at such a young age.
He’s no Arron Rogers or Payton Manning from a physical or skill standpoint, more similar to a Steve Walsh. but he’s going to be a **** of a college QB IMO.
Because we all know tvd stinksHere we go again with crowning dudes off 3 plays VS bums! Why do y’all do this to yourselves Cane Family? Why?![]()
He’s still got a lot to prove, but I agree, I think he’s gonna be a good one when it’s his time. He’s a big dude
