What would be the point of booting Judd though? lol he’s qb 4 at best and is likely making little to nothing anyways. We don’t lack roster spots.

I’m fine with a 1for1 replacement for Emory.

Dead weight implies there is a cost to keeping him when I honestlyseriously doubt there is. No way should we choose to go into a season with 3 QBs over a 4th cheap one regardless of anything I would be expected out of him or not

The cost is having a player that has no business being on the roster, being on the roster.

Carrying sorry players is for charity case programs.

He's not good enough to play here.

You only want to keep him because you believe he has some secret untapped ability that will eventually show itself if he were to ever somehow see the field.

He's in the same boat as Emory, they're not good QB's.

No I only want to keep him cause losing him and Emory would leave us with 3 QBs IF we brought in a transfer. I'm not someone who really cares about QB depth as ive made the case a bunch of times already, but you gotta have bodies at least. Like if you said bring in 2 QBs and let 2 walk, ok. But not 1 in 2 out. Also it's pretty obvious Judd DOES have more physical talent than Emory. So yeah id absolutely keep him unless he's actually being replaced with somebody. I have no problem Judd being on this team for 3 years as a backup for basically no money. If we can get a different person for the similar amount but more talent, great.

You don't care about QB depth, but don't wanna get rid of bad QB's because of depth...

There are actually 3 other QB’s on the roster other than Beck, Williams and Judd. None will ever see the field on game day but to your point about having bodies, I suppose they’re needed to run scout teams and other duties.

Having said that, we do need a competent back up of which Williams and Judd are suspect at best.

No I meant I don't care about the 'omg we need a top backup or qb3 just in case' aspect. Whether it's person A or B sure I want the best person possible, but we need a person regardless. And again it's NOT taking away roster spots which was the big thing previously with a guy like Judd. If we were at 85 Id agree with you. Or if I actually thought Judd was making any money...

I think no matter what we need 4-5 QBs on this roster. also I am not so against a guy with less talent but is smart to be in the QB room. NFL does that all the time for a reason. That imo can absolutely be where Emory has value. But that guy has to also be cheap.

I get you think Emory and Judd will never be anything playable but that isn't necessarily fact or means they're completely useless on the roster. Judd does have talent. Will he ever be startable for us, probably not.
