The gripes the boomers had with the Greatest Generation are the same we have with the boomers.

The Boomers used to be the ones who were called lazy and entitled and couldn’t ever run a country. Now it’s Gen Y/ Millennials facing that criticism.

I agree with you but there are still incremental changes from generation to generation.

The "make america great again" crowd is a perfect example. The 50s was one of the most socialist/ pro union periods in america yet 60 years and a few thousand hydrocodone later they have a completely warped rememberance of the era in comparison to their current policy/ideology.

Today they hate everything that made that era what is was.

Yes. Absolutely. The University raised $4B in two campaigns. It is now a top-50 university. It is perfectly run in regard to academics. When they complete the entire student housing complex, they will start poaching students from Duke. Miami, LA, Boston and DC are by far the most popular cities, for college, for generation Y.

Couple of things.
1. Not sure on the ranking you used, but Miami is not top 50 in US News and World Report. Not that it matters much because those overall rankings are bogus. Miami is not an elite overall academic institution. There are elite programs for sure, though

2. How much money a school has or can raise does not make them well run unless those funds are utilized responsibly. College education should not be a business.

Overall, Miami is a good school, but it’s nothing special academically and the athletic department is poorly run.

They choose to allocate 95% of their funds to non-athletic endeavors, but they now boast a bio-tech center, sterling campus, 35% acceptance rate versus 42% for Florida and a Board of Trustees comparable to that of an Ivy. University of Miami is a great school.

I'm not saying Florida is better. I'm saying you're comparing apples and oranges. Miami is still better than Florida, but not due to anything Frenk did. For all her warts, Shalala was a much better president than Frenk.
