If you haven’t watched the South Park episode “Crack Baby Basketball” then your missing out. This episode encapsulates everything the NCAA is. It’s truly shameful and silly that half the public still falls for this treatment by our universities. Mostly ran buy plantation owners posing as liberals.

Please senator! We already have to pay these black kids an insane amount of money to come to these sec schools! If they start getting paid and doing commercials and sht we are done!!
You dont understand! After they get drafted they never even come back to visit!! They spend all their time in... in..... in...... Miami! Please please put a stop to this sht!!!!

We even have to pay the white kids and Samoan kids!!!
The Samoan kids bring everyone!!
not even the white kids come back to visit!!

The NCAA wants to protect the SEC/Big10 schools in podunk towns, because the potential advertising and endorsement revenue in a large metropolitan area is exponentially larger than where these SEC schools are. This will drive kids to sign with larger city schools and draw talent away from these SEC/Big10 schools in small college towns.

Why aren't they working harder to limit coaching/program salary pools instead of trying to limit student earning potential?

Pay the players. I'm sure Bernie will have a special "football player" tax to help pay back student loans.
That would be great, and it wouldn't be a special football player tax. It would just be tax on ordinary income. If college football scholarship players are allowed to make endorsement money, and Bernie the Red taxes everyone who makes money to pay for "free" college for everyone else, we would have college football players who have earned their full-ride athletic scholarship having to pay taxes on their endorsement income at Bernie's proposed rates of about 60-70%% to pay for other people their age to go to college (and presumably, attend the games in which the athletes play for free). It might be a good thing to have college athletes learn at an earlier age the ills of the socialism they think they want. Lord knows it would be a much better economics education than anyone at Boston University is getting. (AOC graduated from there with a degree in economics...the professors in that entire department should be stripped of tenure and fired for gross negligence [although in reality, they are probably proud of her]).
