I’m suggesting that no one should even come close to expecting this particular kid in the class. Are you suggesting we not try to get good players?

Yup. That's what it seems people are suggesting. Just last season the complaint was (not gonna mention some of the people who were)we don't recruit Texas...Are you suggesting we not try to get good players?

Tremain Mack? Adrian Colbert?
In 3 classes, Mario has signed 0 Texas HS recruits. I don't necessarily think this could be debated.Yup. That's what it seems people are suggesting. Just last season the complaint was (not gonna mention some of the people who were)we don't recruit Texas...![]()

It means we didn't do a good enough job, and that is the only thing that matters.Doesn't mean we didn't recruit any?

Ok.I don't give a **** where they are from personally…Like to make sure holding his own in Tri-County because I think it's a bad formula to not land around 50-60% of our Sofla tire offers. But other than that, Georgia/Cali/Texas, doesn't matter to me.
You guys will go out of y our way to find the thing to bytch about that's for sure.
But maybe this will be the year we get back into Texas, D.Lewis and Etheridge can't hurt there…And maybe our recent portal pros help our rep out there.
I do wish we would set up some type of presence in Texas. With the Horns being really good we won’t get a lot of that talent. But Texas can’t sign everyone in that state. Wish someone would get in Mario’s ear about thisUh, yeah…
I can only speak for myself but when I say we need to recruit TX more, I thought it was a foregone conclusion and understood that everyone knew that really meant we need to do a better job and actually sign kids from Texas….
I guess not.
Just get Cooper by any means necessary. That's all this year's rb class will ultimately be judged on.The more we can put the SEC schools on the defensive in recruiting the better (yes I know he’s Oregon for now). RB recruiting looking good right now. I also like our two local RBs who are leans. Those kids have real talent.
I hate bringing up FSU but back in the day Jimbo recruited Georgia, DMV, and Texas. Easier said than done but I’d like to see thatUh, yeah…

And if u want to win big you have to get Texas kids (the elite ones)In 3 classes, Mario has signed 0 Texas HS recruits. I don't necessarily think this could be debated.
These weirdos don't get it.And if u want to win big you have to get Texas kids (the elite ones)
Our best player in 20 years possibly is from Texas
Yea it’s safe to say Florida used to have the best but after Katrina it seems like that has changed. It took me awhile to see that but I have shifted over to Texas has the best overall players. It’s okay for people to change their mind based on new information. Things don’t stay the same things changeThese weirdos don't get it.
Post Covid migration was the major impetus. Lots of families moved from south FLA to central/north FLA, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and the Carolinas. The effect isn't always immediate but now 4+ years later its showing up more clearly. And we've known high schools in those states pay way more than Florida so the state lost lots of good coaches to those states too.Yea it’s safe to say Florida used to have the best but after Katrina it seems like that has changed. Get the best from Texas Florida and all over the US and you will win. Idc if someone lives in a hut in Alaska, if he can ball sign him.
It's smart to apply pressure by recruiting in Alabama; Georgia; Texas; Columbus, Ohio, etc., so that we're not the only ones having to defend our turf. If they're coming for our local studs, we're going for theirs. Even the playing field out a little. The more we can put the SEC schools on the defensive in recruiting the better (yes I know he’s Oregon for now). RB recruiting looking good right now.
