Bro it's all on the pod. Jacobs has an excellent shot at starting at Z and has the complete route tree down.

Wow, dude, you just won’t quit on this. Let me say this for the 10th time to you. Moore was wide receiver, number three coming out of spring, not Jacob’s. Moore outplayed Jacobs in spring. Moore strained his hamstring before the spring game, which is why he didn’t play it. Those are all facts. Now, if you wanna keep making stuff up, then be my guest, but I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Moore is the better receiver and he was starting wide receiver number three out of spring. So do with that as you will. Smh

You can't commit at The Opening unless it is to a Nike school. That is just soft.

Outside of Oregon with the Phil Knight connection, no one associates a school with Nike/Adidas/etc. to the point where committing to a non-sponsored school would cause any disruption to business. ****, him committing puts more eyes on The Opening and the Nike brand.

Thought: Maybe Maryland with Under Armour because the founder went there but Maryland is *** so no one thinks of them anyway.

The WR charting is not done by numbers.

If it were, MToney is actually WR3.

It goes
X/Field
Z/Flanker
Y/Slot
F/Flex/Opposite Slot

It's dependent on the formation, the alignment & the personnel package they're in.

On any given play, any of the WR's can be the "3rd" WR based on the personnel, route combination & concept that's being run.

It's not just he's #3. Z receiver aka George typically is quicker and smaller than X aka Horton and helps to have some speed. Josh is a prototype X not Z. He may end up rotating behind Barkate and be our starter in 2027. Jocobs is your prototype Z.

Z may end up with Jacobs or Upshaw playing more than people think. Woodard looks like a Z also. I hope we run way more 4 WR sets to and less TE so this all hopefully is mute.

And Jacobs isn't a 1 trick pony. He's a proven starting WR in the SEC averaging 17 ypc and a team captain. Huge disservice to our guy. From what's been said about the last few spring practices and scrimmages he was a star with a bunch of big plays. The WR room is deep and this makes playing time complicated.

The WR room is stacked ….more 4 wide sets to keep those WR involved - and it could number 7-8 who command reps.

As I said and what Ahmmon was saying, it's not about being #3. The question here is who is the Z not who's the best behind Barkate and Mali. Now if Moore becomes the guy in the fall they can perhaps use Barkate at Z to get Josh onto the field. I suspect there's going to be a heavy rotation used after Mali and Barkate with Moore playing less than you think.

But let's be clear here......Ahmmon just flat out proved your idiotic slander of Jacobs as lies. No idea why you want to talk crap about a new Cane who's likely to be a huge part of the offense.

Moore was already the guy after spring, and Barkate was going to be at the Z. Those are the facts based on the competition and who won those competitions in spring and that’s what I’ve been trying to tell you. Anything other than that, is just made up. Again, do with that as you will.

So are you going to take back your idiotic take saying Jacobs can't run routes? That's the part I'm going to bump all season. It's just pure stupidity and slander.

but as Ahmonn was saying Barkate and Josh are playing X now. So again not true, and you didn't even know there was a Z.

One of the many things I love about Mario is that he rarely makes the same mistake twice..last year we thought we had pretty good WR depth..then CJ Daniels went down for numerous games and while K. Martin was solid..the group took a step back. This year? There will be zero dropoff if one guy goes down. We are legit 5 deep with Cooper, Mali, Vaughn, Jacobs and Moore... (6 deep if you believe the hype that Upshaw is ready to take the next step).

Odds are we are 7 deep with one of the freshman stepping up, likely Wingo.

Question......is Upshaw playing Slot? He could also play Z I think

That's my view. Those 7 (if healthy) will all play. Mali, Barkate, Moore, Jacobs, Vaugh, Upshaw, Wingo.

Mali might have less catches than last year because we can spread it out more. But at the same time his Yards/catch could go up because the defense has to worry about our other WRs more than they did last year.

He’s a one trick pony, and I stand by that. He can take the top off the defense and that is what he does Best. But when it comes to all the other things that go into being a complete wide receiver, Moore is better. And here’s a little evidence on it, Moore competed with Jacobs in spring and beat him in the competition. So again, sport, take that for whatever you will, but those are the facts. I almost think your retarded or something because I keep telling you the same freaking facts and you just can’t seem to get it through your ******* head. Smh

This is the same cat that said Cam Ward cost us games and Beck was a clear upgrade because he would take the check down. Tread carefully here to all posters with a brain.
