After this weekend’s Cal visit, it could be coming up on decision time again.

“At this point, I feel like once I’ve seen Miami and Cal I’ll have a good idea,” Woodard said. “I can’t really say until I see Cal whether I want to keep my options open or make a decision.”

Also 50/50 on whether he will go through with UCLA visit

Possibly but who would choose Cal over Miami right now? JKS should he stay would only be his QB for a year. Wouldn't be upset at a kid from Cali staying home, would def respect it but Cal over the U is just crazy lol

Cal has 3 things going for it over UM with Woodard:
1. Location (closer to home)
2. HS QB just committed
3. Shorter path to playing time

We just don’t know how important any of these items are to the player.

This should have been reason 4. (Or maybe reason 1).
UM is strong academically. Cal is one of the top universities in the country.

Cal will also be paying more for him, no doubt about it.

Gonna be another one of those situations where it comes down to "Do you want to be a Cane or not?"

Kid looked at home in the Miami gear.

Immediate playing time, bag of money, and a **** good QB already in the fold present and future…It’s not like Cal is FSU here. They got a selling point to get him to think this through.

And what I don’t want is for him to come then get homesick due to lack of playing time and transfer after next year back to Cal. We will see.

He is definitely high on Miami. Like so many recruits in this class, the culture stands out besides the field skill set. Eli comes across as mature, focused, and thoughtful. He appears to have a format set for his few schools and he is checking all of his criteria with each before, making a informed decision. Cal checks some criteria that makes them a contender. I would like Eli and Moore
What Mario is building is more impressive the more you break it down. Like the 26 class, this class is very impressive. Not only talent, but culture.
