I try to keep it 100 and call it like I see it, some call it being a mope but I think what Beard did last year was LEGIT AF.. I like all the guys we signed last year and they all have upside or traits atleast to see why they signed them.. Follow that up with Lannear and whoever else is a good class..

To me the issue is gonna be all basically gonna have to sit and hopefully make it thru portal window before they can shine.. Guys like Wingo would play any other year and be fast tracked like Toney, can we keep all these guys engaged for next 7 months with limited PT?

Lupoi bolted for Washington 15 days before signing day for a lateral move.. Talked a bunch of **** on his way out and took 2 of Cal’s top recruits with him.

Tedford who recruited him to Cal and gave him his first coaching didnt talk with him for almost 15 years.

Yep!! Took Sidquan Thompson and some other good players. As a kid I didn’t get it, but sadly Cal wasn’t investing in the program like they should have. Tedford was fired like a year or two later
 
Ok I know I’m being bi polar..but after Tre Moore basically “settled” for Washington..that tells me all I need to know. Mario is all in on Eli. We will see what happens!

Yeah…this isn’t even close to the truth lol. Washington made Tre Moore their top top priority at WR and got it done. We very much wanted him and were hoping to close on his visit. Washington got him to shut it down.

Gotta blow teams out and get the guys reps. That's how you keep elite underclassmen. Let them shine and then have the confidence to pay them and stay out the portal. Or get enough film to know they aint worth the dough and cut em loose to sign legit portal players. The key is to beat up on teams that are not in our weight class and thats about 8 games this season.

That makes no sense. Cal is the competition and that is 100% foreseen. It's almost certainly between us or them for him. Like is he saying unless he decided to recommit to USC or some ****?

Not really following you on this one. I took to mean that it's UM and not the field. Even with Cal being in the picture.

Saying UM and not the field, actually only needs to mean Miami > 50% odds. That doesn't mean Cal or others doesn't have a shot. And it certainly wouldn't make that unforeseen. So no I don't think that's what he's saying. What I actually think he's saying is He expects the pick to be Miami unless his Cal OV changes his mind.

However, the actual statement would imply that Geo thinks Cal is eliminated. That's the only logic you can make from saying it's miami or something unforeseen. Because EVERYONE is viewing this as a Miami vs Cal battle (regardless if people think odds favor Miami by a little/lot/significantly/etc... So Cal would 100% be foreseen.... For it to be Miami or a pick unforeseen it'd have to be Not Cal.

You and I read that comment very differently. It didn't seem to be that deep, but read into it what you want. I took it to mean that he really likes our chances. That's pretty much it.
