I don’t get this at all. Sounds like Alonzo wanted some real power so they got the fan favorite to make us happy. It’s a shallow move with no substance. But I do love some Ed Reed
No not even close.Manny is the Adam Schiff of UM football.
I'll come back when this thread says Ed is replacing Banda.
The man has been a leader on the field and locker room. I believe he's coming to do exactly that. Fix the culture...He will help get the culture if it did happen as he could mentor these kids
It's a made up position with no authority.Yo can someone explain to me wtf this role Chief of Staff actually is?
so he's gonna be fetching Manny's coffee? got it.its the admin assistant to the coach essentially
Just get him in the program & work out the rest later
He would be hired by the head coach just like all the other Chief of Staffs around the country. Which there are many. For some reason some people are under the impression that at any point the HC wouldn't be the ultimate decision maker as far as inside the program is concerned. Even incompetent HC get that power until they're fired. Diaz won't be any different. It's a made up position with no authority.
Lol all he be doing is smoking cigars and playing golf up thereEd lives in Atlanta and I doubt that he plans on moving anytime soon.
I'd rather we just fire Patke & hire Ed Reed as ST's coach.
But whatever it takes to make him apart of this program I'll take it.
And bring him on the road with you when you recruit, idgaf if it's against the rules or not.
Ed Reed should be on the phone & in communication with every DB & defensive player we recruit.
This reeks of a move to appease the fan base. But having Ed actually involved with evals seems like a good idea.
