Ed Reed and new defensive staff.

Yup. I'll go further and say he's been remarkably open-minded. Saw that Enos was **** year 1 and made a change quickly. Saw that the defense was **** this year and is making changes. I think the hardest thing for Manny is to realize he can't be in charge of the defense. The days are long gone where the Head Coach is calling the plays on either Offense or Defense. You've got to hire competent coordinators and not get their way too much.
Defense was **** year one as well, and Manny had "to get more involved". Remember?

I'm very happy for Manny and obviously want him to succeed, but it didn't have to be that pathetic; UNC shouldn't have been. The defense has been **** and in need of an overhaul for the better part of 2 seasons.

Say whatever you want about Manny, but dont mention coach richt and coach diaz in the same sentence, that's the problem with many in here, you try and log things together that don't fit. Coach diaz has to continue to make several changes because he's the one who hired or chose to keep mediocre guys, whereas coach richt and already well established OC and headcoach, in the meantime while alot of morons were bashing coach richt who was in the process of rebuilding UM, and acting as if he took this program over from butch davis, all he was doing with the coaching staff he hired is:

* Brought back the 4-3 and was smart enuff to understand coach diaz would be a good fit here as a d-co even with that wile E. coyote defensive scheme!
* Win the only bowl game at UM in the around the last13years!
* Produced the last 10win season in over the last 17years!
* First actual on the field coastal division champs!
* First actual on the field earned ACC championship game appearance!
* Produced the #1 pass defense in the nation!
* Recruited and Produced True freshman all-everything in Ahmon richards and brevin jordan, (jt4 with better qb play would've been on that list or close)!
* Produced the first 1st round draft pick(njoku)at UM in around 8 years!
* Had Miami backed in/on PrimeTime t.v.!
* Snapped Fsu's 7 game winning streak which has ignited our 4 game streak on them!
* First time ever, (not that I care) having college game day at UM!
* Beat notre shame and V-Tech the same year!
* Spearhead the I.P.F.!
* College football Coach of the Year!

All in just 3 short years here and ****'s were complaining, lol, besides the 1st one and being apart of the pass defense, what has manny accomplished on this list. We got ****'s actually celebrating coach diaz replacing his hiring ***** up's, and trying to down coach richt.

I'll stop here for now, but you shouldn't make that mistake again!
and he did all that with Malik Rosier! I think the thing with CMR is what could have been...

As some here may know Ed, is a good friend of mine. When he is home in Atlanta we often hang out smoke cigars and talk Canes. Back in November we were having a conversation about the team (most I will keep to myself), here is the one thing I will share from Ed’s exact words

“Manny’s boys are the problem, I have 3 championship defensive playbooks in my office and not one member of the defensive staff has every asked me a question about defense, but the offensive coaches are in my office everyday”

He was deeply concerned about how bad the defensive coaching was and told me how he would regularly meet with the AD about fixing the coaching on that side of the ball. Today’s hire is a step in the right direction. Hopefully T-Rob takes full advantage of being on the same staff as the best safety of all time.
So you mean to tell me his teammate that he won a championship with, never sat with ED?

I want Manny to be successful not necessarily for his sake but for the sake of the program. It’s a win-win for both. We’ve been through enough for the last 20 years and it would **** sure be great for some stability and success.

Richt did some great things in his time here. He’s a genuinely good guy and he helped the program out immensely by not collecting his buyout. It is unfortunate that he wasn’t the guy to take us as far as we’d all like. We were all unhappy with some of the decisions he made but he left the place better than he found it

That's exactly how a real True OC does it, it's not when you got the most talented guy, that don't mean ****, let's see what you do when you don't. That man rosier had one of the best years any UM qb ever had. It was comical to me to hear people hyping up King this year and talking non-sense, hands down rosier was a better runner than him and made more consistent impact runs and his read-option decisions were far superior than what King did, but again, people on here consistently luv to bash the successful people at UM to try and fit their agenda.

This year, King got alot of garbage rushing yards, especially on those stupid 3rd and long runs that rhett would stupidly call, those were equivalent to the ridiculous go to bubble screens that dumb enos already consistently called cause he had no answers, and the last offensive play was the epitome of what rhett lashlee had been doing all season, calling 1st and 2nd plays on 3rd and 4th downs that kept resulting in consistent failure, but mob was happy because we went to the so called "spread" and the running game went in the trash.

I could go on, but rosier like coach rumph doesn't get the credit he deserved either! As I said prior to the season, perry has way more upside than King, but diaz was never gone give em a fair chance.

And people were disappointed Panda is gone. Like I said, good riddance. The most clueless moron on the staph if Baker wasn’t there. Bartender with a coaching ego lmfao.

they knew as soon as they stepped in that office they’d be exposed. Instead of sucking up their lame *** pride and learning a craft they went into a shell. Not surprising but wow fam.
It’s so ironic. The way to be great is recognizing your flaws and improving, not hiding or trying to hide someone else. By pretending he was good enough to not need Ed Reeds help he actually showed he is not good enough.

That last line is the whole point, alot of y'all ****'s were unhappy at alot of unnecessary **** and didn't know WTF y'all were talking about, and this was in the midst of coach richt having success. By the time we got to the ACC championship game, we were down to braxton berrios being the X receiver, with herdon out, as well as walton, and coach richt still did work with travis no excuses, one of my favorite Canes of all-time homer. But alot of ****'s acted as if coach richt was a failure that year, rosier was banged up as well.

People upset as if coach richt had been getting us to the ACC championship game 3years straight but couldn't win it. Than the refs clearly cheated this team against Wisconsin, but again it was coach richt's fault, it didn't matter to most that in year 2, coach after winning the 1st bowl game here and last one over a 13year period, got us to an even better bowl the following year and all morons were complaining about we're that the ACC championship game and the bowl loss were going to affect recruiting, LOL, it's that type of ***-backwards asanine thinking that is wrong with alot of these new UM fans.

Coach richt knew what he was doing, he just wasn't gone tolerate an incompetent like flake james over stepping his bounds trying to make a football staff suggestion to em, so he told flake james to ***** off! Especially when you got a dumb **** sit back and watch the penn disgrace morons preside over the worst defenses in Cane history (until blake baker got here)and watched that **** go on for 5years, gave an unnecessary extension, and only fired them after a 58 to zero *** whooping.

None of it makes sense except that the double agents in the program are real, flake attacks the successful coaches but consistently supports the mediocre ****. Some of the most successful sports teams at UM since troll shalala and flake james have been here are the women's basketball, tennis and volleyball teams, that should tell you all you need to know!

Richt trying to be his own OC was a terrible idea, shouldn’t have been indulged, and both Richt and UM shoulda known better. It was doomed not to work, and hiring his son as a coach didn’t help it work.

Richt may not have respected James but if Richt thought he was above criticism or suggestions for improvement from the AD he reports to, then Richt lives in a delusional world. This is especially so when Richt’s offense was a complete fail. And I say all that being an early and loud critic of James. He should be fired, but that’s not a reason for richt to be upset with him expressing a view on the program. it’s his frickin job to do so.

At the end of the day, Mark Richt quit.

Thought I’d share this. I hung out with a couple players through some mutual friends a few weeks ago. One thing they told me about Ed Reed and the D staff relationship. Ed would talk to the secondary players after a team meeting and the coaches (Banda in particular) would absolutely hate it since Ed would say something completely different. We all know who the players would rather listen to.
@dsddcane tried to tell you boys years ago. Guess what? They went to Rumph too.

Manny has fired more coaches than any other HC at Miami.........Only 1 firing remains
There It Is GIF

See if I'm Jake Garcia or TVD I'm in Ed's office every day after practice asking him on this coverage what are you looking for in the qb, what can I do to move you off. It makes sense that people like Lashlee are there on the regular picking his brain against formations and schemes
