Eason qb coach thinks he follows richt

Interesting thing is that Eason admits he has played with an against slow talent. Where as Jack Allison has played against beastly florida DB's, I am thinking we ride or die with Captain Jack.

A competition between Jack and Jacob is the best outcome. Let the best man play. Plus guys get hurt. Both QB's will get enormous benefit of playing behind Kaaya. Redshirt one of them. They will both become better QB's by competing.

The U needs both!
If Richt coaches up Kaaya, he might go pro as a Junior....who nows?

Christ, I think it's obvious now that Paranos is DannyBoy. You can't hide that level of potato.

Eason is an absolute animal. I don't care if he played on the moon.

You know that South Florida astronauts are better than any other astronauts.

If you can get both, you get both. Priority 1 for Richt should be solidifying the commitments of players that are currently committed, and then working on the ones that he believes will help us win football games.

If somehow we are able to get both of these guys in the fold then you do it. If Eason doesn't end up coming then so be it, but you have to at least give it a go.

Competition day in and day out is what makes players and teams perform at a top level. Two top signal callers from the same class get to come in and tutor under Richt and Kaaya (and **** maybe even Coley) and gun it out for the starting job when it's time with Rosier and Shirreffs. Can't think of a better scenario...

Most of you are probably too young to remember Jacob's dad, but he was the Pats' first round pick in 1984. The Pats picked Tony Eason ahead of Dan Marino. Tony had a decent career, but he wasn't a Bobby Douglas or Steve Grogan in terms of toughness.

Anyone who says that they will not take this kid is a dimwit.

Maybe it's just me, but I say bring in as many top level guys as you can. Offer both Eason and jack. If they both accept, them come and compete like past years

That goes both ways, Eason also has slower non Florida receivers. Eason throws a beautiful ball, he has a gun and is possibly a more fluent athlete than Allison. But I'll take either one or both.

Richt knows how to program any QB in any year....While he was at Miami so was Kelly, Testaverde, and Kosar-so the point is he knows how to get PT for everybody...

I'm sure we'll be after him hard and if so, I'll gladly take him.

Obviously it would be nice to have him and Allison, but I don't know how likely that is. Some say they're worried if we get him or even pursue him, Allison will bolt. Say that's true, you go get Eason and I'll tell you why.

Simply put, TD to INT ratio. His is absurd, check it out.

Jacob Eason's Football Stats | MaxPreps

43 - 6 senior year.

32 - 3 junior year.

23 - 8 sophomore year.

4 - 1 freshman year.

I always want to know how well a QB protects the ball. Typically when they talk about recruits, they only mention TD's and yards.

Check out his completion percentage creeping up on 70 percent the last two years. He's got the measurable, that matters as well and the two combined....He looks as good a QB prospect that's been around in several years.

Does anyone have Allison's senior year stats?

His junior year TD / INT ratio of 18 - 14 is a bit alarming. I know he was coming off an injury or some such, but I expect more protection of the ball than that.

That is his dad....interesting - I thought it was a mere coincidence that he had the same surname as Tony....

I think Eason was at Illinois - pretty good in college, but a bit of a fragile build for the pros, if I remember correctly....

take them both if possible, its how you be build quaility depth. and on the other hand if Eason dosent want to come here because of competition then f$$k em

If finding playing time is the problem you face with taking these two studs- then that's a PHENOMENAL problem to have as a head coach. Nothing like knowing you have two potential All-American studs on your roster.

The Tony Eason that played for the Pats isnt his Dad.
His Dad played Receiver at ND.

Don't kid yourself Allison is good and number 1 QBs don't always pan out. Looks at FN Driskell at FL. He was the biggest QB around and he was a total flop.

I will leave this one up to coach, but I like the fact that Allison is already committed.

Who you play against is everything in high school. The reason SFL produces so many studs is because of their comp.
