Dylan Day (is not injured)

I was surprised by his speed this year. He's got some short-term acceleration and plays with some explosion.

He has traits. Hopefully he continues to improve this year.
he was a track guy in hs...thats why guidry was on him he could run a bit.

Hes a kid that needs reps and to just be ont he field cause the attributes are there as far as speed and hitting ability.

When I look at nickel Day is one of the couple names I keep coming back to. A good mixture of speed and physicality. He should’ve had a pick 6 against Ole ****. He just seems to have a nose for the ball.

Day checks all the boxes to me wouldn’t be shocked if he’s our best safety/nickle

Could be wrong but it doesn’t seem Hetherman calls for his nick to match/carry #2 vertical much…mostly in a hook, curl/flat, blitz…I think Day could plug in well at nickel.
Then he'll have read, process, and react even more. So far, that appears to be where he has to improve most.
