Duke QB Darian Mensah commits to Miami

Most of these insiders have no clue. They just take what they might hear from one site or another and report as fact. Mario has one of the tightest security on what he wants us to know . That is so obvious, so few know anything unless he releases it to all .

Remember they said for years we were “broke”

It was the leadership all along. We got real leadership top tier top to bottom. Pause

We always had the money like I said it was that troll
💯

The treasure troll decimated our athletics programs, and specifically Canes football. Yet you still have posters on here that defend that sapinga.

Just for some nerdy af math as to why the buyout is NO CHANCE even close to $4 mil:

Mensah's NIL deal with Duke was 8 mil over 2 years (4 mil per year).

In getting out of that deal, if he has to pay $4 mil, his next NIL deal would have to be $8 mil over ONE year, just to cover what he would have gotten guaranteed already, let alone surpass it.

He was getting $4M per year.

NIL deals are front-loaded.

He probably got anywhere from $2.5 to $3.5 M of his 2026 football year money when he SAID he was coming back.

Does anyone have a grip on how the grad transfer thing now works? I know there is no more spring portal window, just the one we just had but I knew previously that grad transfers were treated differently, essentially I am driving at if it is possible for a player somewhere else to just graduate in the summer and enroll in Miami? I trust Mario and Mirable know what they have on the OL but I agree lots of questions without a lot of experience outside of Samson/McCoy
I actually think the talent is already in the room, and Miami is set up to have a top-five offensive line once again. In 2023, Miami fielded one of the best offensive lines in school history, and that unit included a true freshman in CiCi and a true sophomore in Coop. I see a very similar situation unfolding this year with Buchanan and Jackson stepping into key roles.

I also believe Sampson has the skill set to be a dominant left tackle, and he’s in the best possible situation to reach that ceiling. Mario and Mirabal are the best offensive line coaches in college football, they will develop these guys and have them ready.

As for the grad transfer piece, there are no transfer limitations for graduate students. If a player graduates in the spring, he can transfer to any school he chooses with no consequences.
