Duke QB Darian Mensah commits to Miami

I give Dawson more leeway than some others here but using him like he did Arroyo is like some…

Dammit no I can’t do this again…

He didn’t use Arroyo that well either, that should have put up more yards than he did. He was our most talented receiver.

I don’t like Dawson and hate that most of the most plays are condensed to within 15 yards. But he can draw up plays for slot receivers. He has done everywhere he has been

Unanimously the 2nd best WR in the country in Toney and another top 10 guy in Barkate. Probably 1 and 2 in the ACC. You could make a case for Duce Robinson, Bryant Wesco, and TJ Moore being in the discussion. That's the top 5.

Plus, Vaughn, Jacobs, and Moore would start on every other team in the conference. Won't even pull in the freshman for this discussion as its a complete projection.

Passing game is going to be unreal and the running back room is just as good. 3 guys that would start on at least 12 teams in the conference.
The wild thing is the only “concern” is the offensive line lol. This offense is going to average 40 per game.

I would be complete floored and shocked if Duke even got $4 mil. That would be Mensah essentially having played an entire year at Duke for free. And if that was an actually possibility based on their agreement, Duke would have allowed it to go to court to collect it all.

And anything more than $4mil would essentially be a kid paying Duke to play there which is obviously complete bat**** ludicrous.

Exactly my point, which was why is Duke Barstool acting like that is a win, like Duke is making money on this whole thing. The legal fees, what was paid out, ext, I don't get it.

My bad, meant it as a hypothetical to make a point to Dukies. As in, if it had been fumbled and Duke recovered, they’d justify it with the same picture by arguing Mark doesn’t have control when the knee hit.

Edited original for clarity.
I just watched a replay of it. It was a backwards lateral that hit the ground and there was a review and the refs on the field upheld it. (the replay is earlier in this thread.)

I remember the league was ****ed because it messed up a Duke match up with an undefeated UNC.

4 mil is what Carson's NIL deal was.

We are talking about Mensah's buyout from the Duke agreement. It would be completely insane to have the buyout for an agreement equal to the entire sum he earned at Duke.
I understand what we are discussing and I agree with what you said.

I asked because of what was being reported by people in media who likely don’t have a clue or are reporting bogus numbers from sources.

Does anyone have a grip on how the grad transfer thing now works? I know there is no more spring portal window, just the one we just had but I knew previously that grad transfers were treated differently, essentially I am driving at if it is possible for a player somewhere else to just graduate in the summer and enroll in Miami? I trust Mario and Mirable know what they have on the OL but I agree lots of questions without a lot of experience outside of Samson/McCoy

One Portal “window” for everyone now

Most are saying how anyone that graduates in May will be finished at that school and will just enroll somewhere for Summer
