I don't really care if Dugans leaves - but Rick has to confiscate and keep the Donk.

OP has been bitter since Golden got fired.

Please perma ban him. It’s one thing to troll, it’s another to be an Al Golden fan

Per the Warchant via a poster on CS...plz take with a grain of salt.

"He has not given FSU an answer one way or another. Miami has increased their offer at least once during this time. Taggart expects to get an answer from Dugans today. Right now he is leaning toward Dugans remaining at Miami. He said FSU is beginning to look in another direction at receiver as we speak.."

Catastrophic if it happens.

Funniest post of the day. I dunno why people get so upset w you. You’re one of the best comedians around here. I guess sarcasm is a lost art round these parts.

This has to be the most dramatic WR coaching hire ever. Me thinks this was all decided a while ago and the rest is Straight Outta ******. RD is one of our strongest coaches, but no one allocates this amount of time to a position coach.

Shows how desperate noles are. Just think about it. Having trouble getting former player who coached with their new hire before to leave hated enemy and return home to coach. Why isn’t he there already? It should have been as easy as picking cotton for Willie.

It appears Dugan enjoys job security as a member of Coach Richt’s coaching staff. Making a lateral move to a program with a new head coach and a football program that has been on the decline over the last several years might not be the brightest move. Of course, should FSU be offering a significant pay increase and a long term contract then the bread winner of any family (assuming that’s true in Dugan’s case) would be derelict not to seriously investigate that opportunity.

Should Dugan leave I suspect Coach Richt’s rising football program will have a long list of replacements to interview.

It is not unusual in business when convinced a personnel change or some other challenge is going to be detrimental to your operation, it turns out to be a net gain. I would not be surprised in the least should that be the final outcome concerning this issue.

Would hardly say FSU has been on a decline over the last several years, last season absolutely, prior 4 seasons they were 47-7.
As for job security, never in college football, and if he gets named assistant HC or OC it's a promotion and either way more money. He's coached with Taggert before and one another potential issue may not feel very comfortable on this staff in terms of upward mobility as long as there is another coach whose last name is Richt. Don't think replacing him at this point will be easy, it's late and if you're good you've got a job, which means to get an established guy you got to pay or you're looking at a younger guy from a lesser school who will take less money to be at Miami. Think back to when Coker fired Soldinger, Kehoe, and the rest.

2013; 14-0, ACC Champs and National Champs

2014; 13-1 first in the Atlantic, didn’t win the ACC, and lost the Rose Bowl

2015; 10-3 finished 2nd in the Atlantic, and lost the Peach Bowl

2016; 10-3 finished 3rd in the Atlantic, won the Orange Bowl

2017 7-6, 6th in the Atlantic, forced to schedule game at end of season to qualify for Bowl game, won Independence Bowl against a vastly inferior opponent.

Now, tell me again that the FSU program has not been on a downward trajectory in recent years. Further, FSU fans despised Jimbo Fisher and were howling that he be fired.

Where in the **** are you getting that Dugan may be "tagged" as Assistant Head Coach or Offensive coordinator? You're just making things up as you go along.

There IS job security in college football if you are with the right program(s) and are contractually protected.

So, your saying it won't be easy to replace Dugan, because it is late...yet, Dugan may be moving to FSU at this "late" date. The son issue, money and late date is you spewing gobbledygook...nothing more.

I have no idea what point you are making concerning the assistants Coker fired. Are you comparing this year's program to the failing state of Coker's program at the time?

They just lost one of the better coaches in CFB, hiring al Golden like... the decline is tough for FSU or fans of them to see until it’s almost complete.. the decline started once Crab legs left. It’s only going to get better (or worse for them)

Simply,
This is the longest running interview process with several talks and multiple interviews spanning 4 weeks. OCs and DCs and even head coaches, the process of them leaving one school for another job usually occurs in a matter of a couple days once it’s out that they’re interviewing. This has been a 4 week interview process for a wr coach.
