Dugans has done a great job recruiting and developing so far. Might be our most well rounded position coach. Give him a nice raise and have the wives have a chat with Mrs Dugans.

Is RD Jobe 2.0? FSU dropping da big bags? I assume they have bigger ones... dont our sales taxes fund the state schools?

It appears Dugan enjoys job security as a member of Coach Richt’s coaching staff. Making a lateral move to a program with a new head coach and a football program that has been on the decline over the last several years might not be the brightest move. Of course, should FSU be offering a significant pay increase and a long term contract then the bread winner of any family (assuming that’s true in Dugan’s case) would be derelict not to seriously investigate that opportunity.

Should Dugan leave I suspect Coach Richt’s rising football program will have a long list of replacements to interview.

It is not unusual in business when convinced a personnel change or some other challenge is going to be detrimental to your operation, it turns out to be a net gain. I would not be surprised in the least should that be the final outcome concerning this issue.

Would hardly say FSU has been on a decline over the last several years, last season absolutely, prior 4 seasons they were 47-7.
As for job security, never in college football, and if he gets named assistant HC or OC it's a promotion and either way more money. He's coached with Taggert before and one another potential issue may not feel very comfortable on this staff in terms of upward mobility as long as there is another coach whose last name is Richt. Don't think replacing him at this point will be easy, it's late and if you're good you've got a job, which means to get an established guy you got to pay or you're looking at a younger guy from a lesser school who will take less money to be at Miami. Think back to when Coker fired Soldinger, Kehoe, and the rest.

2013; 14-0, ACC Champs and National Champs

2014; 13-1 first in the Atlantic, didn’t win the ACC, and lost the Rose Bowl

2015; 10-3 finished 2nd in the Atlantic, and lost the Peach Bowl

2016; 10-3 finished 3rd in the Atlantic, won the Orange Bowl

2017 7-6, 6th in the Atlantic, forced to schedule game at end of season to qualify for Bowl game, won Independence Bowl against a vastly inferior opponent.

Now, tell me again that the FSU program has not been on a downward trajectory in recent years. Further, FSU fans despised Jimbo Fisher and were howling that he be fired.

Where in the **** are you getting that Dugan may be "tagged" as Assistant Head Coach or Offensive coordinator? You're just making things up as you go along.

There IS job security in college football if you are with the right program(s) and are contractually protected.

So, your saying it won't be easy to replace Dugan, because it is late...yet, Dugan may be moving to FSU at this "late" date. The son issue, money and late date is you spewing gobbledygook...nothing more.

I have no idea what point you are making concerning the assistants Coker fired. Are you comparing this year's program to the failing state of Coker's program at the time?

I guess if you win NC in 2013 and don't do it again then everything is a decline, as far as point with Coker and assistants - who replaced
Soldinger, Kehoe, and Werner and where did they come from ?

How did they go 13-1 in 2014, lose in the rose bowl and not win the ACC. They were undefeated prior to the rose bowl but didn't win the ACC?

If Dugans is still playing footsies with Faqfart and trying to milk more money out of UM he's starting to overplay his hand. He's a fcking position coach. Dime a fcking dozen. He's done a good job here, but enough already with this prolonged facquitry over a WR coach.

Give the man a raise. Tell him you'd love for him to stay. Then, tell him to cut the **** or beat it.

Exactly, he needs to make his decision one way or another.

Assuming this is what’s going on, since I really have no idea what the conversations are between Rick/AD and Dugans, I’m going to agree with you here 100%.

You don’t want to keep either prospective employer hanging or you risk alienating both. Shlt or get off the pot.

Is it possible he’s already made a decision, decided to stay with Miami, and evrybody’s moved on? No official announcement would necessarily need to be made by Miami if that was the case. In fact, if I was running things, I’d keep a lid on it. But that’s just me. Mainly because I think it sounds weak to say “yay, yippee, we’re keeping a position coach” that was being courted by a raging dumpster fire

Let’s bring in Lamar Thomas, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, recruits would fall in line and they could coach from their NFL experience! Their is a wealth of knowledge from a historical program!

I swear, 90% of our fanbase actually believes that good coaches that have absolutely zero affiliation with our program don't exist. I used to love the Kevin Patrick infatuation whenever we had a DL coach opening.

Generally agree with the point, but that's a poor example. Kevin Patrick is a legit DL coach.
