I think Oregon finishes the season much lower than #8 in the AP. Big part of the reason I didn't include IU in my top 5. I also thought they would have lost to Iowa had Gronowski not gotten hurt.

It is easy to see the difference in this Ducks team and last year's roster. I see the same with Illinois. The portal and NIL have changed things drastically, but I definitely don't believe IU is a Top 5 team and question they are Top 10. The problem is when I look at all these ranked teams, they might be as good as most of them. I think this season is more wide open than last season. If we develop the depth and learn to close games, we could have a shot at the NC.

You are right. Really and truly the only thing that slightly concerns me is getting in a game thats like the 4th quarter v FSU, but then again our offense would be forced to be more expansive. I really think we can ride it all the way to play Ohio if we turn up with the right attitude every game and also get some good fortune with injuries.
With the portal and the highly projected draft picks we have, we csnt think about next year anymore in this sport. We have to strike while the iron is hot and the in state opps in the sewer and very few elite national powers. Can't count on that being the same in the future
