Well like I said-For months Pete said they were both likely gone. We haven’t even had DT official visits at least not many I’m aware of. And if losing Fines(jag) an DJ Johnson(hurts) completely changes our recruiting strategy....we have even more problems than we all think. What would be even worse would be if we keep our normal trajectory of ****ting the bed with our weak *** January finishes. **** im worried about even landing Nesta who I though was a lock. No, you are ignoring one thing. Injury. A serious one, blown knee..and their football careers might be over. Zero chance of football $$, barring a miracle in FA down the road.
Even a 3rd round pick (not guaranteed, but possible for either) is somewhere around $3 mill, though only $750k guaranteed. That's even with injury in camp I believe.
You all are viewing this myopically as fans. I'd love for them to return, but I wouldn't listen to a single fool on a message board about what decision to make with my life...and I'm not in their shoes. Yes, they could make a lot more by returning, balling out and getting drafted higher. Or they could bust a knee and get Ditka. I'm not going to hold it against either for leaving just because I want them to stay.

How many DTs played in the rotation in 2017? Four? On passing downs, they often used only one and sometimes no defensive tackles. But for some reason, they're going to need 6 expeienced tackles next season or they'll go 4-8.
