DT Frederic Sainteus SR HL

I would have thought so, too, but that's not what I've been told. He actively wants to develop in there, supposedly. I thought he'd slide right into Mesidor's role next year. Like I said, I still don't see the DT attributes (strength, weight) *in this moment.*

As for Fitz, he did get some Nickel snaps, but we did a lot of different things on Saturday. I want him to play Safety and let us play a bunch of Cover 1 and Cover 3 with next year's Corners coming back. I think we have a really nice group of attributes for a lot of different Cover 3 looks. I think @Calinative alluded to that (Fitz in single high) earlier, or perhaps someone else.
Me, I see him exactly how Lions use Kerby Joseph, just a straight up ballhawk. And they run Cover 1 at 3rd highest rate in league.

I really hope Poyser (and Day) can fill Jakobe Thomas' role. I think we need another Safety though no matter what in portal, we just have no depth at all.

Nickel I feel could go either way. Like if we want someone to have as much on their plate as Scott does, we need to hit the portal. If we are asking a little less, I think we should absolutely be able to fill that role with guys on the team or recruits. We have so many good CBs+Recruits I can't imagine some aren't begging to work at Nickel to try to win that job. So many Snaps available to win if they're open to it and willing to be physical and tackle. Like why shouldn't Jaelan Waters/Dunnigan/Jennings/Porto's immediately try to win the Nickel Job? Ewald already working there. But **** Antoine, Damari if he doesn't portal. It's up to Heatherman to figure out how to make those Nickels work well even if they dodf than Scott...

Blount at times is getting killed inside taking on two guys..**** i seen it look like a jumping. lol That being said Blount has shown me he can play...hes making some stuff happen and when singled up he beats his guy regularly.

i like what we have done with fitz and how he has played this year..his speed and iq has stood out.

This looks like a depth piece tbh. But idk with this one so I will stay away from it. You never know with these DTs, look at Simpson. I thought he was regular and he looks better than that.

Day worries me, he’s usually in the right place when stopping the run, buts whiffs on the tackle. He looks kind of lost defending the pass. He’s plenty athletic though, maybe it just the lack of pt.

Back to the thread. Idk why yall over complicating the film. He looks to have the tools that u would want in an underrated DT, obviously he’s raw. It would be good if they could get an another blue chip DT, this cycle. Especially if Chukwurah doesn’t stick.

Day worries me too.Against Syracuse on their TD he was so late reacting to the throw,a guy like Fitzgerald likely breaks/picks that pass up or at least tries to make a play on it.

Yep, he was kind of lost on that play. I think Day might fare better at nickel imo. I think he’s plenty athletic and physical, but he’s just slow to react in the back end.

Project. Thats why you take 3-4 in the class though. Kid has the measurable and Lewis has really elevated that room. I trust his judgement.

No one told you that. Blount’s playing edge next season.
... Funny last month you were saying everyone at Edge should portal out "to save their career" smh. You gotta be Blounts family member or something with these posts you've made lmao

I think he’s a DT. Blount played mostly inside last game and he's only 19. Usually those guys don't get smaller.

DT is a better money position for him as a pass rusher.
