Who cares? Do you think Shaq would give a **** what was said on this site if it weren't true? Like, if fans bashed Al Golden all day--would anybody care if Golden was out there dominating and racking up big wins? No. People care because they know it's true.

That's what these morons like you don't understand. Fans could say whatever they want on this site, and none of it would matter if Golden actually had something to sell. But he doesn't. He's never won a big game. Never won a conference championship. Never won a bowl game. Never played in a good bowl game. Never had a first round pick at UM. His own players sabotage him. Why would anybody come play at UM? Seriously, outside of just really liking the school itself, if you were making a business decision, why would anybody elite D-1 recruit come play at UM? So people like you point to stuff fans say on here when NONE of it would matter if Al Golden actually had some credibility. Golden has none. The reason players don't come here is because Golden is a horrible football coach with nothing to sell. Fans bashing him is inconsequential when it comes to making a decision on your future as a football player.

Despite what some of the ****tard apologists say on this board...Michael Irvin is a perfect example of this. His own family won't come here and then he tries to save face and keep good relations by publicly giving Golden the proverbial "vote of confidence" which Sapp even said was political garbage.

Stop trying to blame anyone other than the administration and Golden...everything going on at this point is their fault.

Most of you can't read either. Look at the original post- it says nothing about blaming fans for our poor on-field performance. Rather it speaks to overwhelming negativity toward the team and the coaches that was displayed publicly by some of our so-called "fans", which subsequently influenced the decisions of 18 year old kids. It's pretty easy to understand.

What it also doesn't say is the loser coach ineptitude is the reason for the fans being mad and also kids not wanting to play for said loser.

UM held the keys. They decided to fight the fans instead of fixing the program, and they'll continue to lose that battle.

A small collection of dimwits and trust fund weasels at UM can't win a fight against what is left of the real rabid UM fan base. We care way more about the program than they do, and we've got the numbers.

UM could have fixed the program. Instead, they ****ed in the fans' faces and just assumed we'd go along with it and forget what a disaster our program is. They underestimated the fans' determination and overestimated Folden's worth.

The continued toxicity around the program, which is only going to grow worse by the way, is all UM's fault. Imagine the positivity and hope that would be surrounding the program right now if they had done the right thing and fired the obvious failure and replaced him with Butch Davis or some other huge upgrade.

The could have fired golden but we still wouldn't sell out a game. Couldn't fill up the OB weekly during the 01 season. Not gonna happen now.

Yup because the Orane Bowl stayed packed when they were playing against teams not name FSU or UF.

We lose in the ACC championship game instead of another 6-7 year and recruits would be more incline to come here

New coach and their success is more recent than Miami. As a matter of fact, you'd be crazy at this point to choose Miami over Florida.

couldn't agree more.....while i want Golden gone too (no personal dislike to the guy, i am just not a fan of his staff decisions and his overall approach for schemes and building a winning culture), it wasn't worth the continued assault after we knew it wasn't happening. The risk you take in trashing a staff everywhere from banners to social media is when they aren't fired, you are stuck with the reprocussions. If that means kids are buying into the venom you are spewing and decide to go elsewhere, you can't ***** about it.

Personally I do not care wtf we get or don't get. Golden is not winning anything here even if Jesus was playing QB.

The reading comprehension of this board is so bad. I haven't seen one poster say that Al is not a main reason for the kids coming here. Maybe a math lesson will help. If the recruits have a pie chart and its broke down into sections say Golden is 60% of the problem, Record is 20% and Home game attendance, fan support, telling recruits not to come is 20%. You would think that we would want to make the 20% we control to not be a negative. **** Golden, Shalala, James, BOT and anyone tweeting 18 year old kids to not attend The U cause they don't like the 4 groups that make decisions.

What percentage do you assign to all the former players voicing their opinions on Golden and DNo? Maybe you should go tell Sapp and others that you're a real Cane and they're hurting your program.

The percentage of discontent is a direct symptom/by product of the main problem, which is Al Golden. So you would eliminate a huge amount of the negative percentage from the chart by simply removing Al Golden.
