Some people may think it's cute and funny to tweet recruits but please think before you tweet..
We understand your frustration with the state of the U but telling recruits where to go and not to
go is a NCAA violation. New rules have been established for social media please read them.
Those members who ignore our warnings will be banned from this site.

As of right now Hurricanes_1983 and all of your other accounts have been banned..

Look fans shouldn't be tweeting recruits but saying its a NCAA violation is BS how could the NCAA police that? and the last time i checked freedom of speech is still legal in this country, the NCAA is asking for a lawsuit. I mean you could respectfully ask fan to stop contacting recruits but making threats is not gonna work.

It would be impossible in practice for them to police that, I agree.

Don't care for social media (prefer anti-social media, like this site), and don't use it. Cane4life is correct.

If recruits get on Twitter, then they can be contacted by other users. NCAA doesn't supersede Twitter rules, or free speech. Why doesn't the NCAA tell recruits to close their Twitter accounts?

So now high school kids who are being recruited to play collegiate sports aren't allow to communicate with other people on Twitter?

Lol wut? Next they won't be allowed to have friends or go to prom.

You guys are ******* clueless. If you are considered a booster which many on here are by way of tickets donations or being alum, it's not that hard for them to associate you to a twitter account.

Beyond that, stay away from kids even if you are one. It's fucjing creepy
 
I dont see how it is a violation, one thing i see is if a guy on twitter takes a picture of money and say hey come here and you get this, then i would see a possible violation

I can see maybe other teams making fake accounts to sabotage other teams recruiting efforts, that could be one but thats about it
 
Looking at this guys Twitter it looks like he has multiple Twitter handles too.
