Donno and Geo -- Guys that have taken that next step in Fall Camp

Doesn't the away team bring refs to interconference games and in bowls the refs are froma neutral conference.?
The refs are spelled out in the contract between the two inter conference opponents. I have not been able to find out where the refs are from for the um-gator game.

* Markeith Williams
* Chris Johnson
* Jaden Harris

Also a quick mention that there may be positive news about Fletcher, "can't say more". Also mentioned in the recruiting section that Miami is still going hard after guys, including a lot of guys that are currently committed to other programs. General vibe that Miami is going to land several of these guys. Specifically discussed a few guys currently committed to Florida who will be in play if they have a bad season.

Spent some time on the DL. Talked about all the starters then went over the younger potential contributors. Mentioned Moten as coming in to his own, as well as Malik Bryant. High expectations for Scott and McConathy. "If they're not the best DL in the country, they'll be one of the Top 2 or 3 units overall"

One thing that Geo said that really stood out to me when talking about Markeith Williams was that he (Geo) believes you can't really get an accurate assessment of the development of a player until at least 3 years. I've long believed this as well, especially with line play. Yes, there are the unicorns like Reuben Bain and Cici. But it's WAAAAAAAY more common for guys to need a couple years at the college level to be ready. I think a lot of folks forget that and just want instantaeous results.

Samson is a redshirt freshman. Ahmad Moten is a redshirt sophomore. So is Markeith. So is Jaden Harris. I think a lot of people on this board need to take a breath and remember that these guys are still young and have potentially three seasons to ball out as Canes.

Should be acc refs
Just Googled, and while it's true that more often than not it's the visiting teams conference refs, it depends on the agreement between the teams.

The last time we played UF at either one of our home stadiums was in 2013 when we were at home and it was Jeff Flanagan's crew, who are ACC.

Regardless, like others are saying, it's not like the ACC refs cut us any breaks. But I think we'll dominate and none of this will matter too much.

I'm right there with you. Need to see it to believe it. I just shared, doesn't mean I am sold on the sunshine. But it's better than hearing bad things.

IF TRUE that our DL is one of the best in the country and our Safeties are way better than expected .... well, we already know our LB corps is massively improved, so that just leaves CB as a possible area of weakness. No other holes across both O and D. Again, if true.

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention is that Geo is the second guy to call out Markeith. Flo was talking him up in one of his podcasts post scrimmage, as well. So that's two points of validation. I honestly thought they moved Meesh back to Safety because Williams wasn't ready. But maybe that's not true? Maybe they really do think Brown at Nickle is the best back 5, and Markeith is ready and will rotate, but just that 6th/7th guy right now?
There's a guy uploading YouTube videos that has access to the practices, category 6 sports I think it's called. He's also talking up Markeith, heard it more than once. Sounds like he's a big time ball hawk.

Between Markeith Williams, Zaquan Patterson, & OJ Frederique, the future of our secondary is looking scary. That's not even to mention the guys we got coming next year.

Agree. Not sure who is worse. I know sec fans who hate their refs too. I think they all suck.

This DL is gonna be filthy. Elite array of pass rushers, solid on the inside. Idk what opposing OL are gonna do apart from hold and hope the refs let them get away with murder. (Keep a close eye on those SEC refs game 1)
Interior pressure is key. Refs can let the tackles get away with more holding but if we collapse the pocket from the inside they can't do s***

A lot of what I’m banking on is Guidry protecting these guys with what he does in the front 7
Guidry is a high level multiple coordinator with creativity who uses his guys’ strengths. Basically the opposite of Steele or NoD. He may have had some bumps in the road against unc and loserville but he held fspoo to 27 or so with two starting corners down

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure it was sec refs vs TAMU.
I'd have to check the YouTube replay to confirm.
