Donna Shalala's Recruits

When Shalala was at Wisconsin, she hired Barry Alvarez whose been our daddy since. As the university president, her job is to make the school a better academic institution and she did that. She’s made some bad hires at AD, but you all make it seem as if she’s trying to kill the athletic department.

He would want no part of UM athletics....at least not the way it is currently being supported by the university.
Alot of you folks are way too hung on Blake James.
He is not the cause of the mediocre state of UM athletics, he is merely the sympton.
And why would the UCF AD want this job when right now he has a bigger program to oversee?
His next stop will be to a P5 state school.

Because he knows he will never achieve what he wants at UCF.

Horse****. She was the CEO. Her job was to oversee all departments. Football was one of those departments. She did a great job with academics and she did a horrible job with sports.

What is bigger about his program? Are you confusing the size of the school with the size of the Athletics program?

Coaches had no clue huh..cmon man. We was doing **** every power school does. Diff is Shapiro ***** *** snitched and outted us. I refuse to believe he was the only booster we had doing shady ****..trust a head coach knows..rather or not he care is another story..its the whole what did the president know and when did he know type situation..Butch knew there was shady ****..Coker knew there was shady ****..sure the HC would/distance himself. But if randy knew then it’s naive to believe Butch/Coker didn’t know shady **** was goin on. We just got hung out to dry with it. No was Shapiro was the only one

Randy knew, but he was just the DC. Sure Shalalah and Coker let the guy lead the team out of the tunnel.

Are you talking about the AD gig or football HC?
If it's the former, the AD jobs at UCF and UM are comparable.
UM is in a bigger conference, but you oversee more sports at UCF.
Regarding national championships yeah, UM sits in fertile football recruiting grounds, but UCF is not
that far up the road and nowadays soFla kids have no issues leaving the area.
Times have changed.
Baseball?
UCF has as much chance at making it to Omaha than UM.
In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they do it before UM's visit.
UM baseball is a mess, probably never to be what it once was.
That AD is not coming here.
He is a very ambitious person.
People of that ilk look for ambitious gigs.

UCF may have a few, if any, additional sports that might be doesn't have.
