Hear me out. Most people are quick to point out Al Golden's recruits. Truthfully, the recruits that Al Golden signed or that was committed to him when he was fired have carried this team.

However, what is not discussed is Donna Shalala effect on our football program. Donna Shalala did not give a **** about sports and our two major sports, football and baseball, took dives during her tenure.

Let's talk about Donna Shalala Recruits. Bad athletic directors...Kirby Hocutt and Blake . These bums were Aces at making bad coaching hires. Jim Morris was retained 5+ years longer than he should have. We made numerous bad football hires. Blake James prematurely extended the last two head football coaches. ****, even the new head baseball coach hire was a lazy. That is the effect of Donna Shalala.

So, how do we fix the University of Miami's football and baseball programs? We need to get rid of Donna Shalala's recruits. Mark Richt is the product of Donna Shalala's recruits. When we replace Mark richt, we must replace Blake James. We need to remove any connection to Donna Shalala.

The only coaches who work in Miami are the Schnellengers, Johnson’s and Butch Davis of the world. No nonsense alphas who can keep tabs and demand excellence from players. Miami is different than anywhere else, it’s fast paced, lots of big time or wanna be big time people who want to be involved in the program (Nevin Shapiro) for example who help our players lose focus on being excellent. It still happens today (distractions) and coaches like Golden, Shannon, Coker, Richt and even Erickson (I know he won but because of his lack of accountability for the players helped get us on probation) aren’t going to ever work here.

It’s not just Richts lack of play calling and crappy QB development hurting this team. A lot of this team isn’t focused and to distracted by outside stuff (NKosi is only the dumb one that makes this stuff public but he’s not the only one not focused). There Will always be people who are not looking out for the best interest for the kids living down here. Richt is to soft we need a no crab taking alpha man to get these kids and coaches in check and demand excellence.

A OC May win us a game or two more but not titles.

We need an athletic director that understands that. He must be strong in his convictions.

We should poach the athletic director from UCF. He appears to have balls and truly cares about football.

I live in Orlando and Danny White knows how to promote the program and speaking his mind. He’s very involved and seems to be working

Shalala did care about sports. Whether she was good at guiding a program from on high or picking program leaders are separate queations.

She did not care. Are you have no proof that she cared. She's simply filled positions that needed to be filled and nothing more.

Correct If I’m wrong but wasn’t Shapiro around when Butch/Coker we’re here ..I understood he started being around ‘98- Shannon

Would people just stop with "its University President's fault for athletic failures"?

They are figure heads wrt to athletic departments in today's sports world.

The blame lies squarely with BoTs and powerful behind-the-scenes boosters.

If she cared so much about sports how come we were so cheap when it came to paying coaches and their staffs? Under President Frenk you can already see a financial commitment to sports again as compared to what we had with that little goblin.

As mentioned above, the BOT determines the financial commitment, not the President.
