So when Donnell Harris sits down to watch the NFL Draft, he sees Joe Jackson go in the fifth round. He's already seen three Clemson DL go in the 1st round and one in the 4th round.

We are the ones being emotional. Not the kids. They are being rational. We need to prove that we are the rational decision, and not just the emotional pick.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but at some point, it becomes a chicken-and-egg situation.

When does Miami put 3 DLs in the first round if we don't get better recruits?

And when did Clemson put 3 DLs in the first round previously?

The Clemson promises of goodies promised took him. In today's HS/College football all about getting to the NFL and about the goodies and extras a college can give you.

Forget bags. Why would a big-time DE pick Miami over Clemson right now?

Campbell didn't get coached and was underdrafted. Vernon didn't get coached and was underdrafted. Chick's career was ruined. Meanwhile, Clemson is turning similar talents into first rounders every year.

We have a fifteen-year track record of losing and wasting talent. This kid was born in 2001.

We don't hold on to the big-time local kids because we have big-time competition and we are small time. Manny needs to show times have changed.

Its going to take years for Manny to prove times have changed. So basically were not going to get any 5 star players from South Florida for 3-4 years until Manny's results have shown.....So in other words were fcked for the near future because of these bag chasing, mercenary, peddler having, momma with their hand out South Florida recruits......got it.

How do you know? Manny is 0-0.

People get mad at the kids for being "immature." But they are the ones making decisions based on data. They are going to schools that have a better chance of winning and producing first rounders. It's the fans that want these players to make emotional decisions and pick Miami.

We need to prove that we are a big-time school.
Do they have the data that shows Miami has the most active NFL players at DE out of any university?

Or that our d-line does so well consistently, our coaches keep getting promotions?

Or that we had the most TFL in the country?

Stop trying to die on this hill, they only see the data that they want to use to rationalize their decision.

No. Win and they'll come. At least that's what I've been spoon fed by the unbearably naive portion of this fanbase.

Stop with the excuses. This kid was all Miami until yesterday. Now this? Bag season is real. Manny is doing everything right and this kid won't even give him a chance to see how the season plays out. I'm tired of the excuses. In the modern era if you want to compete for chips, then you need bags, simple. If not, enjoy being coastal champs.

Dawg but we ain’t even winning that bruh . You don’t think that contributes to the problem. These big schools defiantly talking **** bout us . It’s easy . Why go to Miami and maybe get drafted low . When you can come here and compete for a natty. Not saying winning is the whole issue but it definitely is apart of the problem

At the time we didn't show Patrick Johnson that we could get players like him drafted in the 1st round........

Ed Reed
Sean Taylor
Antrel Rolle

Rinse and repeat basically. But hey, it's because we've been mediocre that a kid who's been committed to us for a minute, would decommit during the middle of the offseason.
If not mistaken on Patrick it was that he wanted to go somewhere and be the one to turn that school into a place DBs wanted to go, instead of just being another DB from UM. Im also sure bags may or may not have been involved.

D, those are all facts but they were also facts the day he committed and all other days where he was committed and recruited for Miami. Only thing that has changed is he's currently on a tour of the whose who of dropping bags.

The thing that changed is that he saw other schools. He committed as a young teenager with a limited perspective. Now he knows what's out there.

Has DJax gotten mad at the UM admin for not giving him more attention yet?

Uncle Luke pt 2

Miami literally cannot do more than they are. As a 501(C)(3), they are NOT allowed to endorse candidates, participate in campaigns, campaign on behalf of him, cannot make contributions, and cannot tell employees or others to make contributions. If they do these things, they can lose their tax exempt status. So let's nip this one in the bud before it goes anywhere.
