Because he is a generational talent who could be a legend well after football in his hometown known for bringing the U back. The past 15 years are as irrelevant as the 2001 team. Fact is currently we have coaching in place to help this kid get where his talent should take him (early 1st round pick) He will go high in the draft whether he goes here, Clemson or East Idaho Tech.

So when Donnell Harris sits down to watch the NFL Draft, he sees Joe Jackson go in the fifth round. He's already seen three Clemson DL go in the 1st round and one in the 4th round.

We are the ones being emotional. Not the kids. They are being rational. We need to prove that we are the rational decision, and not just the emotional pick.

At the time we didn't show Patrick Johnson that we could get players like him drafted in the 1st round........

Rinse and repeat basically. But hey, it's because we've been mediocre that a kid who's been committed to us for a minute, would decommit during the middle of the offseason.

No matter if we won them games or not he and James Williams STILL would have decommitted. That’s the reality of the situation we are facing. People say win and they will come, i wish it was but it’s not that simple.

On another note high school must be set up different now how do all of these kids reclassify so easy??? I made good grades and I can't remember being able to reclassify even with summer school.

Then answer me this: WHY commit and say you are all Miami , recruit on Twitter other players and then drop Miami before even giving them a chance? So he's using us like a sidehoe until the big boys come? When he committed we were not winning... Why commit? It's all excuses. Bag game all day

People get mad at the kids for being "immature." But they are the ones making decisions based on data. They are going to schools that have a better chance of winning and producing first rounders. It's the fans that want these players to make emotional decisions and pick Miami.

I’m saying as a head coach and winning games. The defense is great but kids don’t care about just a defense they see wins more than anything

It’s a cycle, that’s why we as fans shouldn’t even be this vested in this recruiting sh*t tbh. This recruiting sh*t can change any minute when other factors get involved

And again, Joe Jackson left too early. Stop saying that this is just about getting drafted, if you're talented, you're going to get drafted. Ed Oliver played for Mark D'Onofrio for a full fcking year and he still got drafted in the 1st round playing for Houston in the "no one gives a ****" AAC.

True, but they get their 5 stars drafted in the first. Our last drafted 5 star went in the third
