This tweet reminded me of how dominant the dline was:

This guy got hired as the Patriots oline based off his performance at Florida yet was dominated by UM. That was a theme across the board. Trey Zuhn hadn’t given up a sack. Carter Smith was the b10 lineman of the year.

It will be hard to see a line like that again mainly because not many are as intense as Bain. Although Lightfoot has shades of that.

I think the amount of quality depth this defense of line is going to have will be a pleasant surprise for some of yall..

This team will be able to score quickly and rush the passer in waves, that is usually a very good combo...

I don't think there will be a drop off in pass rush on the edge but there will be in the run game for sure.
Wilson and Lightfoot simply can't do what Bain did. But then again nobody can.
But with the emergence of Moten and Scott, Mo back and healthy, I don't think we'll lose a beat. It'll just look different

If the offense is what it should be many teams wont be able to.just line up and pound the rock all game... In which case that pass.rush gonna look real nice...

I don't get much from Spring except, it feeds my football cravings. It's for staff evals and players. It's possible the pass rush is a little better this season, but I am guessing a little drop-off. I am expecting Moten and Scott to take the next step and be one of colleges best tandem's. I see Wilson as the starting Edge with Lightfoot as the backup. JT has to get these 2 to take the next step. Lowe or Blount as the starting DE with Scroggins behind them. Could Davis get DE snaps? Blount is the real interesting piece. Is he still playing out and in? I believe they want him playing more than just backup DT, but is he better than Lowe? I believe Blount is a DT, but he won't start their this season. The run defense at DE will be a drop-off. Setting the edge will determine how good this DL is. I wouldn't be shocked if Wilson, Lightfoot and Lowe, Blount are co starters. Wilson is the pass rush specialist without question. So many options, it's exciting. I love this. The defense will be on the field more this season, so tested more.

Why does everyone seem to want Blount exclusively at one position? I think it's fine if he plays both inside and out. It fits what we need and it will help his value at the next level.

On passing downs, he flat out cannot give you what Wilson and Lightfoot can. But he's likely much better against the run than those two.
