This tweet reminded me of how dominant the dline was:



This guy got hired as the Patriots oline based off his performance at Florida yet was dominated by UM. That was a theme across the board. Trey Zuhn hadn’t given up a sack. Carter Smith was the b10 lineman of the year.

It will be hard to see a line like that again mainly because not many are as intense as Bain. Although Lightfoot has shades of that.

I think the amount of quality depth this defense of line is going to have will be a pleasant surprise for some of yall..

This team will be able to score quickly and rush the passer in waves, that is usually a very good combo...
 
I don't think there will be a drop off in pass rush on the edge but there will be in the run game for sure.
Wilson and Lightfoot simply can't do what Bain did. But then again nobody can.
But with the emergence of Moten and Scott, Mo back and healthy, I don't think we'll lose a beat. It'll just look different
 
Whoever is playing DE, they have to set the edge. Bain and Mesidor were complete 3-down players.
