Does Valentine recommit to UM?

If TV doesnt take the OV here, then this was a straight up $$$ play by L$U. IDGAF what anyone says. You going to tell me that this kid being committed here THIS long, with this close relationship with Hurlie, being a local kid, and supposedly loving the program and all this B.S. and then he's not even going to take an OV?

I can understand him making a tough choice at the end and picking LSU. But for him to cancel his OV here.... that is straight up $$$. What other reason on Earth could there be for him to not even take the visit just to make sure he's making the right decision? Its bullsh*t. This is EXACTLY how the $EC money game works. Also watch for Genron to have the kid on lockdown and not even let him take any calls from UM for the next week if this is true. Same as the surreal Sony situation. Where a kid goes from being a life long fan, to not even answering his phone when we call for no apparent reason.

LMAO, and cats are actually going to say that this whole game is not corrupt as f*ck.

Pick up a **** book and read it from some of the **** players/former recruits and their families mouths. Read the Ricky Seals Jones accounts where the ENTIRE staff at UT told him he and his family would be "take care of for life" if he went there. Where some programs were flat out asking his father "what is it going to take to get him to come here" clearly talking about money. Intermediaries and outside coaches and advisors making offers. Kid was offered SIX figures. $$$ talks and bullsh*t walks in modern college football.
Forget the fact that TV has come out and expressly said that LSU's scheme fits the way he plays.

No, he must have gotten paid.

That may be true, but let's not act like their isn't more to this than simply a recruit preferring one school vs another.

plenty of reasons to think he goes to LSU for honest reasons, but plenty of reasons to wonder if it isn't shady

See, the honest reasons are actually grounded in fact: scheme, recent success of program, recent success of defense, draft picks at DT. You can point to quantifiable statistics or quotes from TV himself.

You really can't point to anything factual that says he is getting paid. It's all speculation and hence a very weak argument.

Not this shiite again.
Seriously, if you think l$U doesn't buy players through street agents, then you're as naive as a 10-year old.
Stick to following the Heat.

Prove it. Just link me to a story where LSU pays players or any other school that has pulled Miami commits.

And don't link that Genron/ESPN story either. It shows nothing to fact that money funneled to an actual player or family member.

Forget the fact that TV has come out and expressly said that LSU's scheme fits the way he plays.

No, he must have gotten paid.

Guess you didnt really read what I wrote. I really doesnt have anything to do with him choosing LSU in the end. It has to do with if he cancels his OV here and shuts out our coaches. To me, that would be a HUGE red flag, and something that has happened in many a shady situation before.

I can accept the kid deciding LSU is the best fit for him in the end, but after everything, that he wouldnt even take an OV here? That smells to high ****.

Why? Maybe LSU told him not to take any more visits or they would pull his offer. Really not that hard to comprehend.

LMFAO. He's not committed to LSU. LSU is DESPERATE for DTs, and thin as ****. Every one of their sites has said TV is at the top of their must get boards right now, and they are going to pull his offer if he takes an OV to the hometown school? COME ON DUDE. Is this real life?

Jesus Christ, how naïve can you be? The kid DOES NOT WANT TO COME TO MIAMI. Its not about money. He obviously wants to go to LSU so its pretty easy for him to just blow off Miami to appease the coaches.

Dude are you for real? This kid was just on campus last week meeting with recruits and coming to BBall games here and meeting with coaches, but he "obviously doesnt want to come to Miami". REALLY? REALLY? He just has NO interest huh? Just wasting time coming here to meet with recruits and coaches. OH and his "representative" a notorious street agent, was the one driving him here and picking him up, and escorting him up to L$Us visit. He was committed here all year, said he wants to be close to home, loved the staff and everything up til a few weeks ago.

Again, I can live with him saying, "the scheme up there is just better for me", and picking them in the end. But after everything, he's going to refuse to take his OV here, not even give us a chance to talk to him one more time? Because LSU might "yank his offer"?? LMFAO. This kid has offers from EVERYONE and any program would make room for him. NOBODY is yanking this kid's offer.

Patrick "Peterson"

"For example, former South Florida Express assistant Jon Drummond told "Outside the Lines" and others that he was the go-between for Express players and college coaches. That was before head coach Brett Goetz said Drummond would not be returning next season, because he violated a "Code of Conduct" Goetz makes all coaches sign. Goetz's "Code of Conduct" essentially states that his coaches cannot use their relationships with prospects for a profit.

Drummond told ESPN that "everyone knows coaches are being paid something extra to bring recruits to campus" while denying he's one of them"

LOL NOTHING SHADY AT ALL

Goetz is on RECORD as saying that 7v7 has created a NIGHTMARE of corruption. His comments basically imply he almost regrets that he helped set it all up. He said it has become a sleaze fest of shady characters and scumbags hustling and trying to make money off these kids. This is from Goetz HIMSELF. But people still want to act like its not going on. LOL. Genron was bounced for obviously hustling kids. His reputation goes back YEARs as a street agent in So Fla. And he happens to be representing TV here, and is busy trashing UM on twitter at every chance. And people are seriously going to pretend that there is nothing shady going on here??? UN F*CKING REAL.

I guess people forgot about that ESPN article huh.

Not saying it's not Golden's fault, but lets not make Genron out to be some saint.

Like I posted on Friday in a similar thread, Genron used to belong to another Cane site.
And it wasn't long before he showed his stripes.
In a nutshell, he gushed over the SEC schools, bragging about his relationships with folks like
Urban (when he was at fu), Miles, Saban and how he was buddies with Jimbo going back to his
days as the l$u OC.
UM? You know, that school that represents his "hometown"?
Nothing but vile and disparaging remarks about the school, the program and its coach, Randy Shannon.
He bragged about how much control he had over his kids and, for example, how he discouraged Robinson
Therezie from even looking at the UM.
So, I ask you Genron slurpers....does this sound like a person on the up-and-up?
Anyone here who supports that vermin should not be allowed to post on this site, because
they are not a UM fan.
Period.
End of story.

Its pretty obvious that your issue is you hang on every word of a 17-18 year old kid. Actions speak louder than words. If he wanted to be at Miami, then he would be. His actions prove otherwise regardless of what he says to the media.

Look back over the years of how many kids say they love Miami, Golden, and its like home. Lots of them went somewhere else.

Let it go man. Kid doesn't want to be here and it has nothing to do with money.

Drummond is a *****. I remember he called out a UM fan on twitter. He wanted shoot a fade. Told him where to meet and all, Who does that? Lol **** that clown

There is a whole racket with guys like Genron, where they work as "scouts" for bullsh*t recruiting services that have direct ties to certain schools and boosters from those schools. They are basically paid to hustle kids to certain schools, take them on unofficial visits, block out other programs, etc. The NCAA has tried digging into this before, including everyone's good friend Charles Fishbein's shady @ss operation that was employing street agents and he had to fire at least one after the NCAA came after them.

People dont realize the entire industry that exists in many places to hustle these kids and college programs.

Then why was he committed for 5 months?

Good question and I don't have that answer.

funny thing is i've never tweeted Genron, Ever! But, since my avatar is UM, he blocked me from following him now….

What kinda hate do you have to possess for the U to have that kind of intention in your decisions…?

Just like a 7on7 team charging 350 kids 20 bucks a pop to try out for a team that is pretty much set.
