This can’t be true. Georgia plays in the SEC where every team is ranked in the top 15 (except Vandy) and any loss is a good loss. Don’t project your false data and anti SEC thoughts on this board! (Yes, this is sarcasm)

I’m not saying defense doesn’t matter so don’t try to make that argument. It very much matters. It’s just that when two evenly matched teams at the top of the heap match up, the team with the better quarterback/offense seems to win a majority of the times. Eventually you’re going to play someone that you can’t completely overwhelm on defense and you’re going to have to rely on your offense to score in bunches.

The reason Kirby hasn’t won is because he hasn’t been able to keep or develop a big time QB. I mean look who was starting for him yesterday, Stetson Bennet/AKA nobody! Smh you aren’t beating bama with a bum like that. And it’s not stetsons fault, it’s kirbys QB recruiting “fault” that he’s stuck with a kid that should be scout team as his starter. Kirby had his chance with Fields and he blew it by continuing to go with Fromm who got out gunned by a true freshman in his first playing opportunity in the second half of the 17 NC game. Had he correctly went with the more talented fields in 18 then it all might have went different for Kirby.
 
Kirby banks on the talent overwhelming his opponents. Can’t do that against Bama. Michigan or Cincy? Probably.
 
My observation is that Kirby will always play the game manager over the more talented QB. Time will tell how stubborn is he.
 
Bama has athlete all over....when they were running their ancient offense vs spread teams they were still smacking them. Bama just has that talent edge on everyone because they have the best evaluator ever.
