Does Kirby?

If anything, they 100% should have ran the ball more. They were picking up 5 yards on first down runs and then have two incompletions for a 3 and out.

No way in any cirumstance should Stetson Bennett be tossing the ball 48 times. They won time of possession but doesn’t help when your QB throws 2 picks.

40 yards rushing were from the quarterback. They had 44 pass attempts and 26 rushing attempts. It’s clearly the Heisman level quarterback play that won Alabama that game.

The team that has finished first or second in recruiting rankings the last 5 years shouldn’t have to rely on walk-on quarterbacks. That’s 100% on Kirby.

Georgia has played 1 team in the top 50 when it comes to passing offenses before this game.
Additionally, all the teams that slowed down Bama's offense, played a bunch of press man coverage, with a decent clip of blitzes (Georgia favored zone). Georgia came in with a poor defensive game plan, against the only top 30 passing offense it saw this year....and unfortunately for them, Bama isn't just top 30, they're elite. and the result was 5 touchdowns given up.

Also, Kirby Smart didn't learn anything from picking Jake Fromm and his ball control capabilities over Justin Fields for continuity purposes. JT Daniels gave UGA every bit of momentum to finish off last year...and it meant nothing when he returned from injury this year.

Kirby played this season safe, and decided to play safe against Bama too. Got burnt for it. All that just to agree with you. This loss is 100% on Kirby.

They didn't play a single team all season ,until yesterday, that is in the top 30 in passing offense. The best throwing team they played was Tennessee.

Kirby ran off Fields and Eason and hired James ******* Coley after he called a RB pass in a blizzard.

When even Manny Diaz realizes you need a 21st century offense, you know your offensive philosophy is archaic.

Wait JT Daniels was available and healthy enough to play?
yep, they were riding the hot hand in bennett, jt has been available

for what it's worth bennett has been playing top tier in the country this year, granted he hasn't had to do much

I know there have been some fabled walk-ons (Baker, JJ Watt), but I could not help but wonder how UGA which has been a monster recruiting for so long, was starting a walk-on QB by choice.

@305to954

I present to u exhibit A as to why Kurby is a corch

He’s not a great salesman either. He has the highest salary cap in college football because UGA boosters are sooooooo desperate to be anything besides the punch line

He would get him then play the walk on over him lol
Correction: he’s a good ole boy corch and, as a result, chooses to play the less talented white Georgia boy over the 5-star QB who is from somewhere else.

Stetson Bennett is a 3-star from rural GA. JT Daniels is a 5-star from Cali.

Jake Fromm was a 4-star from rural GA. Justin Fields and Jacob Eason were both 5-stars. Eason is from Washington and Fields is from GA (metro ATL) and is black.

Tenn was the best QB they faced, but even Tennessee was statistically not even in the top 50. UF was the only offense in the top 50 that they played (Ranked #39).

Kirby was/is basically forced to play that qb plain and simple. The big money bankers that run the program made that happen. Think about this, how do you have Jamie Newman and JT Daniels and end up playing a walk on? He's a walk on because he comes from a wealthy family in sw Georgia and they are friends with said wealthy banker boosters. You dont believe me ask uncle lou.

What is so good about JT Daniels? From what I saw Bennett has been the better QB for their offense
Bennett is limited. Yea he looks great when he’s not playing from behind. He’s not a good QB period. Daniels isn’t great but he at least has some talent.

Him opting to not play JT Daniels was a massive massive mistake.

He should’ve learned from Steve Spurrier.
He won’t. He did the same thing with Fromm over Fields. Coaches are who they are…. until they ain’t (Even Saban realized he had to change offensive philosophies).

Agree about Kirby being a ******* idiot, although some porsters think he’s the 2nd coming of Saban.

I don’t follow the NFL but in college Fields was better than Fromm.

Yet he was run off from the program with racist epithets from the baseball team. I hope Georgia loses every game moving forward. I hold them in the same regard as i hold that racist Carolina Panthers organization.

I broke it down by passing offense vs the power 5. According to cfbstats Tennessee was 33rd but we are on the same page. Yesterday was Georgia's first test against a team that can really throw.

Makes sense. Forgot that UF padded the **** out of their passing stats against Samford.
