Any coach worth anything demands the ability to choose his own staff. Any smart coach destroys the leftover coaching staff just in case they are part of the problem. It has to be done that way. Any coach worth anything wants his guys and doesn’t want to worry about skeletons in the closet.

I played golf with a close family member of his a couple of years ago and I was told he had no interest in coaching anymore. Could that have changed? Sure. But he’s not a guy that is going to go out and put in a ton of extra hours.

I think he’s a good hire for them just from the standpoint that he will stabilize their program. That’s what they need right now.

LOL at a dude that checked out mentally and has been out of the game for years having the plums and fire to turn that dump around. Dont blame him for taking the check, but Free Shoes will prob be looking for another guy in 2 years

At the very least he'll probably do what Richt did for us by providing stability and leadership to program that's a complete **** show. If he puts together a legitimate staff and doesn't hire his clown shoes son as QB corch, he could be trouble but I'm not losing sleep over the thought of it.

That article says they are a helluva triumvirate. 👀. Wtf? Old guy who got canned, almost was guy, and one stop wonder young guy. Yay.

I would be meh or worse if my team spent 20 million to right the ship and I got that threesome. Pun intended.
