Does anyone believe this OL is elite?

Brockermyer isnt a strong run blocker but we knew this coming in.....Mccoy and Pancake are both guys who may be better at tackle.

I agree with pancake outside. Put Cici at OG and I think you might get a little stronger in the middle which is what the coaches really want. Might not have that steep of a drop off at RT, especially if the run game starts to open up.

These plays are straight garbage and make everybody from the oline to the running backs look worse.

Look at this ****. The tweet is blaming the running back. But because of the formation, spacing and play call.....

The oline has zero push (as the have a second wave of defenders pushing the first wave forward). There is a wall of 20 players scrumming it up.

Sure you can say but look the rb did have 1 hole and he picked the wrong one.

But the rb has a split second to decide and ZERO MARGIN FOR ERROR. This shot is hard man. If 1 OL messes up, play us dead. If the rb doesnt find the one sliver of a hole, play is dead.

And on top of that.....the defense knows what you are doing.

So yea, the oline is not elite. The rbs dont pick every correct hole, but its so hard for me to blast the players when they are constantly put in these ****** positions. Asking for perfection constantly, nothing easy.

 
I just watched the great Andy Reid offense run into the A gap on 1st and 1, get stuffed and then fail to score 7 before the half. Made me feel a *little* better
 
The only elite aspects of this team, other than Mario’s incompetence and stubbornness, are Toney and Bain. Mauigoa has been a big disappointment lately.
 
Like every unit on this team, they have regressed throughout the season - largely due to coaching and scheme predictability. The line we saw vs ND and even vs UF looks nothing like what we are seeing now.

Pass blocking - elite. Really hard to ask for much else. Beck constantly has all day to throw

Run blocking - average at best. Again, as discussed a ton on here, the scheme and play calling do it no favors. But the center is a big disappointment, and at times Bell and Cooper have been too in this category

Mental mistakes - an absolute train wreck. This unit has played a ton of football but you wouldn’t know it with the amount of back breaking penalties they commit

I got negged for this earlier by the slurpers but overall this line is just good and far from elite.

They are good, they can pass block well and would look better run blocking if they actually played in a scheme that help them. Way too many penalties to be considered elite. As of rn they are an above avg OL probably top 15-20. I think they have the talent to be elite but the cosching is making them worse.

Very good oline, it’s easy to stop because we run the same play over and over. No oline is that good to when everyone is crashing the same hole.

Not with the way it’s used

They are elite at killing drives with their penalties

From center to LT is very mediocre especially in the run game. Even tho bell is actually decent in the run game
 
They're a solid unit and their pass blocking is exceptional. As for the run game they would look a lot better if the defense didn't know the play every time.

Photo shows 9 or 10 defenders within a couple yds of line of scrimmage. Probably not gonna work out well.
 
I think you earn the title "elite" and they haven't yet. That said, they are one of the better lines in the country.
