How is a man who coached in small towns his entire career a fit here?
Jimmy coached in small towns. Dennis coached in small towns. What does this have to with anything?
His defenses at UF and SC were as a coordinator. Randy is a good coordinator. Should we rehire him?
Shannon only had success in one place. He hasn't called defenses since. Strong has built elite defenses at three schools. The difference between the two is obvious.
His recruiting in SFl is the result of Clint Hurtt, who is now banned from the NCAA.
Strong has been recruiting South Florida since Hurtt was a kid. Aside from Teddy (who openly said he picked Louisville because of Strong), the players Strong recruited to Louisville were nobodies. His success down here was based on an eye for talent.
Randy was twice the coordinator, was actually from here, and coached here.
How is Randy, the guy who can't get a job calling defenses, "twice the coordinator" as Strong? Please back that statement up. Of course, you can't.
DMoney, if Charlie Strong was white you wouldn't give even a moment's thought to hiring him. You knw it, I know it. The whole board knows it. It's disgusting how you would put your personal agenda over the betterment of the program.
I'm not black.
I'm intrigued by Strong because I've been watching his defenses for 15 years. They play the way I want Miami to play. Watching our defense during the Golden era has taken years off my life. I saw the energy and attitude his teams played with. I saw the way he targeted local players that I wanted Miami to go after. That's why he's on my list.
