Do we have a shot against FSU?

I always like to believe we do due to the intense rivalry. That said, to me it seems that their bad rises much more often to our being better at that time than the other way around. Hoping Sat breaks that trend significantly.

Yes we certainly have a shot. Should be a hostile environment for those clowns. First night game in some time. Hit Travis a few times and he will fold up like a cheap suit. Please let TVD play.

Travis is what scares me we are not good at containing the QB on 3rd down. We have lapses when we can't tackle and Travis and Ward are both pretty elusive.

We absolutely need to balance the “Travising” in our favor — good Travis creates a lot of positive plays that will break our backs. Bad Travis makes idiotic mistakes that could turn the game our way.

Of course.

Did anyone thing FSU had a shot against Miami last year? Canes on three-game win-streak after upsetting North Carolina State and Pittsburgh, with TVD playing out of his mind.

Noles were 3-6 and 6-12 combined under Norvell; rolled 52-10 the year prior at Miami. Don't even show up to play the game at that point, right?

Miami down 14-0 early and 20-7 at half. Canes rally and go up 28-20 fourth quarter and Noles go on 11-0 run to win 31-28—4th-and-14 to seal it.

Neither of these teams are very good. Noles in year three under Norvell so more of an identity, but both teams are average—and Miami with the better quarterback.

Just a matter a game plan and better effort from checked out players.

Home schedule has been an abortion this season and HardRock a morgue; Bethune-Cookman, Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee State, North Carolina and Duke—one of the worst
runs ever.

HardRock, night game, packed crowd (fans from both sides) and an ounce of energy will create better environment than these nonsense 12:30pm ET kickoff as of late.

Noles *should* win but Canes can absolutely win this football game ... only to go out and lay an egg against Georgia Tech next week.

Their run defense is suspect. Probably the only way to limit their scoring is to keep their offense off the field. We started to show a pulse in the running game last Saturday against a run defense not that much worse than theirs. I feel like we can move the ball on them we just need red zone scoring other than field goals. And it's a rivalry game so anything can happen. They are not some juggernaut. They have issues too.

Punchers chance! Punchers chance!

Actually I do think we have a shot here.
There was that one year (maybe it was in the late 80s ?) when FSU was ranked either number 1 or close to and we smoked 'em.
Plus, in the past team records haven't meant as much in this rivalry; the players seemed to. get fired up regardless.

Go Canes damgumit !!

I hate to type that. But it looks pretty grim. Even if our D plays great, FSU can move the ball and score. Not likely to hold FSU to under 20. Based on what we saw Saturday, how do we get to 20 without cheap scores? Is it as grim as I think it is? Give me some hope. I am dreading Saturday.
This will be like the 2010 game, minus the offensive production. We will be lucky to score a field goal in this game. Offense is that limited.

Hope I am wrong.

Very slight chance. Dating back to the jimbo teams which were loaded… this is the worst matchup I’ve seen for the canes vs fsu in a long time.

If TVD is out it’s very likely a 3 score game. With TVD it will be close but still think they pull away late.

Please don’t label me a FSU slurper because of this take. I call football like I see it.

If both teams play as ecpected in both their own scoring and holding opponents to X score, our Hurricanes aren't getting the dub-u.

Miami will either have to overperform by 10-ish or FSU will have to underperform by 10-ish.

And yes all the variants than come with above...blah blah blah

this is an improved FSU squad that has been steadily improving under Norvell. Not a great team, but for instance this years Seminoles team had the lowest points given up per game in ten years.

We have a small shot.

Garcia has to produce two TDs (like Duke) AND 14 points like he did vs UVA all in the same game. The D has a chance of keeping FSU under their average BUT the O has to produce something!

It sure would help to see a healthy Chaney, Nelson, and TVD but I think all three are done for the year at this point.

Gonna be hard if the offense comes out like they did last Saturday. Hope Im wrong but I just don't see it with the current players. If TVD comes back we may have a chance.

In this situation it's all about if TVD plays..

Or we get 10-14 points on defense or special teams turnovers and short field position scores. With hopefully a full stadium and excited crowd.

Otherwise it will be ugly.
He aint playing. That guy's shoulder is ****ed.
