Do our receivers get enough separation?

Great point by OP.Main issue is Dawson .
Schemes are predictable, route trees very simple
As a result very few open receivers.
Also applies to run game, very simplistic
Running outside on counters or just stretch plays has been very effective but rarely used.
Don’t disagree.

It seems MCs foremost thought is to impose our will… physically beat teams up so that in the 4th quarter they are physically and mentally tired. So what we do 1st-3rd quarters offensively is predicated on that. Being creative and spacing takes a huge backseat to it.

Keelan is currently giving the Indiana coaches a headache because he was running right by Ole Miss all night. Beck missed on the first pass of the last drive but Keelan beat his man again. He played a brilliant game.
He wasn't taking no for answer. Definitely laced his boots up.😅

Maybe. But Marion was wide open on his TD. Toney was wide open deep a few times and Beck missed him. Less sure about the intermediate routes.
Marion seems like the only guy.
But that td was a coverage bust. He was torching graves all game long.
There’s a reason we went after taller wr with speed.
Mario always addresses position needs. Also going after a bigger taller tight end.

Yet somehow Beck is completing 75% of his passes. In regards to Indiana Bama nor Oregon got pressure on Mendoza. Get pressure on him and he’s a good QB. Against OSU he was 65% for 222 with a TD and a pick. Hit him hard every chance you get. He takes 3 seconds to get rid of it. Put them in 3rd and 7+ and he’s not what he is on 2nd and 2.

Bama had 3 sacks in the first half. They came out hot but got tired and lost momentum

One critique I have and maybe some of the Xs and Os guys can answer.

Why on obvious passing downs do we have Bauman split wide? Not hating but that’s not his game and essentially has us playing with 1 less guy. Why not Jojo or Moore, someone that’s an actual threat to make a play?

Coaches in the box are helping to match personnel, tendencies, and have situation. By having Bauman out there, the defense has to keep an extra backer on the field which limits their ability to cover other threats

Based on game situation, it could result in two less DBs. Let's say were facing 3rd and 5-8 yards to go, Miami has a one score lead in the 2nd half. This might seem like a passing down, but as a DC facing this team/coaches you would have to respect the possibility of a run. Especially if you know we're trotting out 11-personnel (1 RB, 1 TE)
