Miami under Golden isn't losing because of recruiting. Miami is losing because Golden and staff are TERRIBLE at coaching the game of football. Having a Jordan Scarlett or Dalvin Cook or a Calvin Ridley would not matter. Miami could have an entire roster of "5 star" recruits and it would not make a difference under this staff because they are unable to put the players in a position to succeed.

Golden couldn't even win more than 6 games this year with Duke Johnson, Miami's all time leading rusher, in the backfield. Why would it be different with other running backs? A team that could have up to 10 players drafted this year couldn't win more than 6 games, let that sink in.

Yeah, Miami is missing out on some talent but the roster is/was still good enough to win 10+ games. Outside of real scholarship reductions like Butch faced or total roster mismanagement, Miami will always have enough talent to win big, even with losing some top recruits. Miami needs good Xs and Os coaches far more than it needs recruiters. Hopefully that will happen with the next staff. And once the Xs and Os coach starts winning, recruits will flock here anyway.
