I think this whole thing is a hoax. The poster comes off too intelligent to then behave in such a childish way on social media of all places.......
This is coming from someone that has made a living of ripping Al and this staff the last 3 months, but 1+1 still =2. If ChadWilson is who he is as he is portraying himself with his posts, then I just cant see such an individual handling himself they way he did. You cant sit here and say you have love for your alma mater and then act that way. No mature, intelligent and family oriented man, notice I say family because family is what most associate Miami as in terms of the football program, would go about trashing his school the way the guy did. ChadWilson, your responses have been level head and well thought, on top of that, hearing that your son Quincy owns his own business of repairing and selling I-phones at 17 is even more impressive, and not only because it would signify that Quincy is a very bright kid, but that without a doubt it would show great guidance and structure within the parental unit of this kid's life. When you add all that together, Im having a hard time believing that this same individual would act out the way he did on social media and allow his kid, to a certain degree, to do the same. It was handled very childishly, there were shots fired back in the spring, where is the patience at? The behavior in the fall and spring just dont match what Im reading now, and I know Im not the only one that is thinking this......

I agree about this being a problem. The school, staff etc cannot come out and defend themselves in a situation like this. As Chad and Quincy are protected by privacy laws. They can say whatever they want and the staff cannot defend themselves.

As a parent you do not deserve a phone call from the staff if they so choose to not recruit your kid. The recruiting business is so cut throat that there is not enough time to do that with every prospect. So your feeling being hurt need to be tamed by you in house. Not on Twitter. If I have a problem it is my job as an adult to talk to the person I have an issue with. Not talk about them from behind a keyboard. So even if they contact you, what did you want them to say? What could they have said to you that would have been ok? Nothing. You feel like your kid is UM caliber and they did not offer. This is the problem with the popular local kids, they are entitled. If you bring them in and they are not happy they will ruin your image publicly and that is obviously not worth it to the staff. Hence, your kid not getting an offer. Good luck with your team and your future. However on behalf on the posters here I would recommend you just leave. Your fighting an unfair fight and your just going to lose respect here. And you are just going to get called names etc. Which I am sure is not worth your time either.

If you have been paying attention, you would realize that I said. I had no problem as a father. UM doesn't like you as a prospect. 69 other division I schools felt the same way as they did not offer you. 50 division I schools did offer him.

My problem was as an alumni, I would think it would be wise to have a conversation with me a person who has direct access to a highly ranked prospect. **** man, I put in my blood, sweat and tears on Greentree practice field and my name is in those hallways.. At least give me that much.

So this has more to do with your pride than it does your son..... That's selfish as ****.

Chad, I appreciate the chance to communicate with you.

Love him or hate him, Al Golden is a promoter at heart if nothing else. Why on Earth would he damage a relationship with a valued alumni and staff member of a strong local program for no reason? It's not in his DNA. The idea that Golden deliberately snubbed you and your son without cause doesn't sit well with me because it makes absolutely no business sense, no ethical sense and no contextual sense.

Golden had three legacies on roster in Highsmith, Chickillo and Lewis. Most of us believe Quincy was at least as good as these three at his position, but as you said, he was never offered. Could it have been an issue with Quincy's or your attitude toward them and their approach to coaching?

Another consideration is that Golden's lack of communication has nothing to do with you and your son, but is due to the school you represent. Why has the Miami staff worked to strengthen relationships with other area schools, but have visibly reduced its engagement with yours? Even Ice and Golden made up after an intense recruiting situation last class. What's preventing that from happening with you and your staff?

It appears as though you feel Al Golden and his staff showed you and your son a lack of respect by not sitting down with you and talking this through. I can't say I disagree.

With that said, do you believe your son handled the response appropriately? Do you wish he did anything differently during the process?

I think the best way to resolve this is to get Al Golden in here. He's been called out and he should respond. I don't mind that Chad called him out in the social media. What better way to hold the coaches accountable? Al, if you have a moment, can you please explain why certain players and schools are being ignored? I'm sure you have a reason.
