I think the best way to resolve this is to get Al Golden in here. He's been called out and he should respond. I don't mind that Chad called him out in the social media. What better way to hold the coaches accountable? Al, if you have a moment, can you please explain why certain players and schools are being ignored? I'm sure you have a reason.

Well Joe, we're working our tails off to get it fixed. We've got coaches all over the country talking to these young men and their coaches trying to establish relationships. But for the past two years we've been handcuffed Joe. We had a cloud hovering over Coral Gables, Hurricane Katrina would be jealous of. But we're working Joe, we're really happy about the kids we have and are going to keep building this thing. We're not there yet but we're working our tails off getting it done.

a 10 start recruit who has already been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. Makes millions fixing IPhones, has blessed the rain down in Africa but none of that matters.
All he wanted was a talk with Golden.
 
I've always been one of the pro quincy wilson guys on this forum. I like the idea of playing press coverage with bigger corners. Dorito obviously does not like that, so therefore, quincy would not fit our scheme because he uses his hands and likes to get physical instead of sitting back in soft zone. Also, quincy and Chad who owns the gridiron stud HL video company are very influential with the younger guys. Now quincy continues to bad mouth miami, which is why sam bruce, and more of the younger kids are doing the same. Like it or hate it, they are pretty influential in SF recruiting wise and us passing on him may hurt a little in the long run as well.
 
I have no interest in saying anything to Chad Wilson other than you're a self-important loser, just like 60% of the high school "coaches" down here.

1. Chad...you an old school Cane, you know you don't sit around and wait for the staff to come at you... you get up.. walk over to Goldens office. and sit in his chair and tell him "da f_uck?!"

2. Quincy is a big boy, he decided to talk smack to the program and he should be able to handle all the crap Miami fans sent his way.. and will keep sending his way. He did not just talk smack or "tell the truth" he straight up called out current players, put up a Vine video of him throwing away the Miami letter...you dont' tell a teen what to do all the time, but you do teach them not to burn bridges early in recruiting process and talk smack to the home team. because like you said NFL is not guaranteed and if he ends up back home after college... well ...

3. my advise, being a high school coach, your #1 priority are the kids, not your pride. Don't allow your pride to burn a bridge that can help out a kid get a scholarship to the highest ranked school in the state of Florida.

4. There are so many things to bash the current administration for (Dorrito, Goldens PSU mess, Donnas giant fail with the stadium) but you chose to go after the brand itself and the fans...simply.. stupid.

Then the parent should have put that whiny little 17 year old in his place, like may dad would have. But he learned this crap from from his father. If I felt my kid was cheated in any way, I would have broke down Golden's door to see him. Instead he took it to twitter. Did Golden make mistakes here, you bet your ***, but so did Chad, I blame Chad for his lack of character. I do agree Golden must learn from this, he is another idiot that let this get out of hand. There is only one way for Miami to get back on top and that's by selling the school to the South Florida kids again. When Randy got canned it brought a lot of frustration to schools and coaches and Al took the right steps to try and heal it and also fix Randy's issues with some other schools, but he is not following threw with this. You cant just have a cheap camp and think that solves everything. He needs to get out an open lines of communication and keep them open. He need to take serious interest in the local schools, there coaches and the kids of these schools regardless if he wants them in a U uni or not. We have some serious fences that need mending and we need the local community to love this staff and not be suspicious. Suspicion runs deep in the local community round here, you guys should no that. And for a White Yankee to come down here and talk the talk but not walk the walk then you can bet your sweet *** that it going to cause even more problems. The Coley hire was a god send simply because of this one factor.

Go look at Quincy's offers and you tell me that we can afford to not even talk to kids like this? a kid whose family has deep roots in this community and who has the ability to impact your image negatively. Al did the same **** thing to Ice as well.

If you take emotions out of it. This is a major issue with this administration and I would bet you that they are looking at this situations and are learning because you cant sell the school to kids when your spurning local coaches kids who have major offers. The truth is that you need to do your due diligence to communicate with people like this so things like this do not happen because recruiting is not a business transaction for both parties, it very emotional for one side and business like for the other. If your a sales man you know what that means.

If you do not take into account how word of mouth impacts your overall ability to recruit in your local area then your not handling your business very well.

if you also don't take into account how being a total douche bag of a fan in today's world where every fan can get a word into the kids then your also part of the problem.

It sucks major balls to be honest because part of our problem is most of our fans are so upset about the state of miami and they have no idea how they impact it now more than ever. Its an uphill battle and if you really care you will do your part.

I bet you Al is looking at this case and learning from it. You guys should as well unless you care more about bashing people than you do about the state of the U.

I can also tell you that Mr Wilson sounds 100xs more civil than most of the posters on this thread.

I don't like the things that went on the social media but I also hate the entire situation and think it could have been handled by both sides better. But there are no more Quincy's recruitments (only one) but Al is hopefully going to have many more so this hurts us way more than them. So we better learn and we better get better.

Former players and the current coach of the U should be on better terms. This is better for all parties involved. Its really in both people's best interest. Al Golden should be mending important relationships in this area whenever possible and the more positive relationships Chad Wilson has with coaches the more opportunities could be available to his players especially if a player wants to stay closer to his family.

I think that Chad should be aware that this board has gone to **** and it is in no way indicative of the vast majority of fans from the University of Miami. Quincy probably should've gotten an offer, and I definitely would have wanted to see a legacy Cane who's a 4 star prospect in the fold. Recruiting is a crapshoot most of the time anyways.

Unfortunately for you he can't play press coverage. He is way too slow, so that kind of kills your thought process.
 
I'm a friend of Chad's at least I consider myself that. My name is Kyle and we have spoken for years daily about the state of the program. When I say daily I mean daily. If he didn't care about the program we would probably be talking about other stuff like betting on football games or other BS. Instead all of our conversations go back to Miami because that is the place that means so much to both of us. I hate the Gators I really hate them more than any other school in the nation but I will be rooting for Quincy and I hope he makes his dad proud.
