Do Not Adjust Your Monitors …..

So your problem is Golden never did something that he wasn't obligated to do to begin with? So because you and your son got your feeling hurt you took it upon yourselves to trash the school the rest of the year. Seems like the kid was following the immature lead of the parent. If you think the way the Miami staff handled your sons recruitment was wrong then you must see how ridiculously immature you and your son reacted to the situation. Two wrongs don't make a right. And as a parent it's your responsibility to teach your son to be more mature instead of all the social media bs that went on.

He wasn't obligated to do it and I am not obligated to support him. I would also like to know specifically how I trashed the program. That's going to be a hard question for you to answer.

I took the position of observing the process not directly manipulating it. It's not my job to do their job. Those guys are getting upwards of $150k to coach at the school. I took this approach with every school. Almost 100% of responses you see from me in social media are in response to something that has come my way from another source. It's there job to recruit South Florida. I brought him to camp TWICE. If they want to send me their checks then that's a different story. All we needed to have was a conversation. They could have told me they think he sucks.

You mean to tell me that they NEED to MEET with every So Fla kid that they do not want to offer to tell them! Get out of here. If they didn't want him, for whatever reason, they do not need to meet with him.

You were bitter because YOUR kid didn't get offered, so you not only bashed Miami, but coached your son in to doing the same thing.

Opinions and thoughts - being involved in south florida high school football scene about the relationships the staff has and the perception about golden and his staff.

i there's letting your kid express himself, and then I think 17 year olds sometimes need guidance and to be taught by their parents when to say things and what to say. sometimes you have to bite your tongue and just let it go. he was obviously extremely hurt by UM's lack of communication with you guys. you absolutely should not have let him air it on social media, whether you are an alum or not.

Not a flame, but I hope our coaches adjust their approach going forward.

Chad (if it's the real one),

Do you plan on adjusting your approach going forward?

I'd ask them the same question I asked, but Chad (if it's real) is the one here supposedly open for questions. I am skeptical that Chad would come on here, though.

I'll ask again..

Chad - Did any of the UM staff contact Your Head Coach in regards to Quincy?

JC

Any thoughts on the defense we run, and do you think it has cost us kids?

Will your resentment against coach Golden and his staff carry over to your current student athletes?

My resentment never carried over to student athletes. I tell them the truth. The funny thing is that before being disrespected, I lied to kids about Miami because of my obvious bias towards Golden. I bought in as many of you did when he came on board.

Now I just tell the truth as I do about every school and that's what I am supposed to do. As fans that's tough to swallow.

Cherry picking the softball questions and dodging the hard ones.

Yep, great example to set. No accountability at all from your part. Still lobbing grenades at Golden and staff. Even if they are deserved, man up and say why yu trashed UM in public., I don't recall any public trashing of you or your son done via the UM staff.

Man up or get lost. Just my .02

Chad,

It appears as though you feel Al Golden and his staff showed you and your son a lack of respect by not sitting down with you and talking this through. I can't say I disagree.

With that said, do you believe your son handled the response appropriately? Do you wish he did anything differently during the process?

Exactly. So far as Quincy's responses, I allowed him to express himself. YOu have to let teenagers do that within reason. If you bottle them up, their frustration manifests itself in other very unpredictable ways. He could have said a lot worse things. Fans didn't like it A) because some of it was the dirty truth and B) it was something negative about the team they love.

I raised a great child, who has made his entire family proud. Nothing anyone says in here will change that. Sorry.

Chad, as a father of two, I don't agree with you as far as how you let him handle the process. Just my .02 though. I think you teach your kid to take the high road.

With that said, I don't like Al Golden as the coach of my favorite football team. I hope he either learns from his mistakes or moves on.

Chad, instead of waiting for Golden to come to you; why didn't you and your son schedule a meeting with Golden and drive up to CG?

The fact that we let this guy come in here and try to reason is a major fail by Canesinsight. These parents and coaches are the majority of the problem with the recruiting process. Anyone who isn't a complete idiot can read through the lines with this site lately. Bringing guys like Genron and now this guy in here to plead there case is a total disrespect to the fan base. I understand why Canesinsight is doing it because these cronies think they run So. Fla so Pete and the rest just wanna keep the peace to get more inside info. But don't treat us like we are 5 years old and have someone as greasy as this guy and others come in here ruining the board. It almost makes it seem like there is a personal vendetta against our staff. As for Chad we know who you are and what your about. No need to spill your propaganda in here.

Chad,

Do Division I colleges subscribe to your recruiting service (gridironstuds.com)? If so, which ones? Does Miami's lack of interest in dealing with you have anything to do with that?

Lastly, do you consider yourself to be an aspiring street agent?

Will your resentment against coach Golden and his staff carry over to your current student athletes?

My resentment never carried over to student athletes. I tell them the truth. The funny thing is that before being disrespected, I lied to kids about Miami because of my obvious bias towards Golden. I bought in as many of you did when he came on board.

Okay, fair enough. I'd be interested to hear what you tell them and how you express it. Please provide an example of what Chad Wilson would tell a young, impressionable student athlete about Miami. Go.

perhaps if quincy hadn't immediately resorted to trashing UM 12 months out, he might have been recruited by UM down the stretch. at that point, if I'm UM, not a chance in ****.

Funny how everyone's demeanor changes when the person they've been talking about shows up on the board.

Chad, I don't know you personally but thanks for coming on and giving some of your thoughts on the process. Hopefully it can knock some sense into a few posters and make them realize that there is more to the recruiting process than they might realize.

I guess you didn't see the enormous sand ******.

I give Chad a to credit for coming in here and taking questions. However, his utter lack of any accountability on his or his son's behalf doesn't sit well at all. Actually we can all see how entitlement is born.
