Chad forget the past, that is done. How does UM build stronger relationships locally and keep top talent where it belongs? Some seem obvious, find top local talents... specifically the local leaders and offer them early and use them as anchors to the class.

And I thought the days following Signing Day were going to be dull.......

I am not sure why he wasn't offered by Al Golden and that was never my problem. Problem was never ever met with Golden. EVER! When you have a child, you want the best for them. My wife and I's best was a free education to any school. That's what you wish for when they are sitting in the back seat drinking a Capri Sun without a care in the World.

He worked hard and found himself in a position where he had offers from multiple schools. I was long satisfied as a parent. I know all too well, professional football is a slim chance. An education lasts a lifetime.

So the alumni in me had a problem that with me attending multiple camps, bringing prospects to camps, talking up the Golden regime and otherwise supporting our new head coach, he nor his staff members saw it fit to have a conversation with me about a top prospect who also happened to be my son. This on the heels of passing on Skai Moore, Jordan Cunningham and MacGarrett Kings.

Jimbo Fisher did not offer Quincy Wilson but Jimbo Fisher met with us in his office. No one asked him to do that! He did so on his own accord. That man held up the Sears trophy this year.

Lol! Love this!!!!! Y'all keep asking questions! I don't know why "the real chad Wilson" would even care at this point.....

Chad why do you think this staff cant close? Is it because of Miamis academic requiremnts? Also y do kids root for UM then sign elsewhere?

To be fair Blackvern was the one challenging Chad. He just responded. At least one of Blackverns posts has already been deleted.

The two biggest fails for Golden were not offering Quincy Wilson and Treon Harris 12 months ago. Had he done that, yesterday would have been much different. Golden's biggest problem is a lack of flexibility. That will never change.

Welcome.

What's your biggest issue with the Miami program currently?

How & why did it come about?

Your son only wanted to play CB and the Miami staff saw him as a S/OLB, correct?

Yes, my son has been trained as a cornerback, thinks like one etc. He likes playing football and is not stupid. If he couldn't hack it as a corner, his alternative would not be to ride pine. Not sure how the staff saw him because we never had that conversation.

Very valid points and clearly an error on AG's behalf. But why run to twitter and social media sites to say this? You can't tell me that you couldn't talk to one coach on the staff.

Sandbar or Moe's?

Also, to reiterate, why the social media stuff? All former players, like yourself, talk about is that this is a family. Families don't air dirty laundry, especially when they know they can be influencing kids negatively. Talk about other schools positively, cool. Just don't talk about us at all. That's our problem with you.

This is what I would like to know. Let's assume Golden didn't have a convo (for whatever reason) and you did feel disrespected. That sucks, but as an alum couldn't you get ahold of Hurlie or Barrow and discuss it with them instead of airing it out in public?

EVERBODY on here has the staff on blast for missing the boat with Skai. They sure has **** aren't perfect, and most on here would consider that an understatement. Have you given thought to being the bigger man and try to mend the fences yourself at this point?

Tell us about how USchool coaches call high school player's cell phones while they're in the middle of their junior seasons at other schools.

Well, perhaps those kids made first contact. What's important to note is that if players are happy in their current situation, they don't get contacted. Don't underestimate the will of a parent to get what's best for their kid. The best thing you could have done at Western was provide the best atmosphere you can with the resources given to you and spend less time bad mouthing the private institutions that put kids in college. It only makes them more attractive to your kids.. YOu have spent an undue amount of time engaging in this practice.
