Sure. No disagreement there. We've all labeled Mario at one point or not a caveman. So, his reaction to a poor rushing game is either (1) be creative and figure out what went wrong and how to fix it; or (2) try harder. I'm hopeful the response is not the latter.

Given the idiotic penalties that keep happening on the OL, and combine that with the run game, I would say yes. He has become Mario’s DNofrio. And just like DNo was just running Goldens defense, Mirabal’s run scheme is Cristobal’s offense. But in both in cases the HC either needed to change his scheme or throw his little buddy under the bus to buy himself more time.

And in and yet another similarity- the core scheme issue is the same. With Golden he wanted to take S Fl recruits and make them into a traditional big10 bulky 3-4 defense even though that isn’t the body type or style that works in S Fl. Cristobal wants a traditional big10 power run game, with big RBs and a big OL in rugby scrums, even though in S Fl there is an endless supply of very talented smaller RBs that can run outside the tackles and take it to the house.
 
Another very disconcerting issue, our offense is so simple. How can we have a million pre snap penalties? We aren’t asking the OL to do anything crazy obviously. Why in the world are we so penalized? With an extremely veteran OL too. Their job is as simple as I’ve ever seen an offense be. You’d think having one run play would ya know, be less thinking. We can’t even run our caveman offense without it being a mess

It doesn't matter who is in charge. When its not working go to something else. That's literally all there is to it. Especially when you run a sweep and they dont touch you.

Anyone notice that Mirabel is rarely, if ever called out by anyone (like sports writers or people like dmoney)?

Or just me?
