DL Briggs coming to JR day, hoping for offer

This kid is BIG time.... severely underrated. Like his film better than the Carolina kid

Brock I agree with you 100% about Briggs being better than 2018 DT/NT John Davis and to be honest I like Davis's Mallard Creek HS teammate 2018 DT/NT Charles Johnson a lot more than than Davis. Thing is though Davis is a 1 Tech all day while Briggs is a 3 Tech so they are playing different roles but Johnson is a better 1 Tech comparison to Davis since they both are 1 Tech types with Davis getting the higher ranking because of his height advantage.

2018 DT Charles Johnson 6'3" 330lbs

I live 5 minutes from Mallard Creek. I will go check him out during the season

talk about a kid that uses his hands. Hes definitely an interior guy (3tech). Kid is a take for me all day especially since hes from central florida. I would pursue Kstacy Kirby as well at de from out that area...plant seeds. As we already have seeds in JVILLE.

This kid, Silvera, Jordan Davis looks real good moving forward. Especially if we can get a dt transfer this off season

**** Bruh this is the first time I checked this thread and his film out and you took the words outta my mouth. Violent hands, the film definitely shows the strength to engage and shed blockers in the run game plus he flashed some quick hands and worked a few moves on passing plays. IMO that speaks highly of this kid's football IQ, especially since it seems like he's so much more physically dominant than the kids in his area. I like what I see from Briggs, Kool would have him beastin'...

This^^^^^

Briggs shows impressive use of hands, instincts, high football IQ and great motor and athleticism. This kid is a take all day, in my opinion.

I hope Kool feels the same way by the end of Junior Day.

Here's my thing though.

Coaches like him, just want to see him in person right? Got it, that makes sense.

HOWEVER, Junior Day is literally them touring the school (no football activities). So how would they offer based on him literally walking around in jeans?

:noidea:

Because a lot of times kids are listed at certain heights and weights but when they actually visit they are smaller or bigger than listed and sometimes that can verify or nullify an offer

Mannerisms? Personality to be a savage? See if he has the frame to add weight. Those are my assumptions. We're going to have the pick of the litter on the DL moving forward.

Kul got Michael Sam to win SEC DPOY, and he has now dipped into irrelevance. Whoever this man wants is a no brainer IMO.

This kid is the goods. Think about him in 2-3 years with 30-40lbs of muscle added. Nightmare for opposing QB's, coming right up the middle!

Andy Staples: Art Kehoe never stopped loving Miami; now, Miami loves him back | SI.com

Kehoe said he had great film if Miami coaches wanted to see it. Then he told that fib. "I said I was 6-2, 245," Kehoe said. "I was 6-foot, 230."

Saban bit, and Miami began recruiting Kehoe. He worried that recruitment would end when he arrived for his official visit. When the plane touched down, Kehoe met Miami assistants Mike Archer and Harold Allen. Archer shot Kehoe a sideways glance. Allen, Miami's legendary defensive line coach, couldn't hold his tongue. "****, son," Allen said, looking Kehoe up and down. "Did you shrink on the flight?" Kehoe decided brutal honesty was his only option. "Coach," he said, "I'm tryin' my *** off to get a scholarship."

Both wrong, it is so he can be walked slowly through the sunshine spectrometer so they can get a read out of how much of that dog does he have in him.

Kool wants him. thats all need to know. **** the stars.

Doesn't he have 4 of them tho?

he had 0 stars yesterday. now he has 3 today on 247. he should be at least a 4 star after a few camps

For those keeping score at home...

Start = 0*
Invite to UM junior day = 3*
Commit to UM = 3*
Get offer from bama/fsu = 4*
Decommit from UM and commit to bama/fsu = 5*

In the past I would agree with this, but several of our guys actually got pretty big bumps late in the cycle last year. The Bama bump definitely exists though. It's not every recruit, but it's pretty blatant with some of their guys as soon as they either commit or are considered strong Bama leans.

IPF is supposed to have a state-of-the-art SunshineSpec 6500.

It just means they really love his film, but want to see if his measurables he claims are legit. Sites exaggerate heights and weight all time. It's also good to see a kids body composition/frame because you can envision how he may develop and hold some more weight.

Offering solely off of highlight tapes is a Coker/Shannon/Golden specialty and a factor in why we're in this mess to begin with.
