No, amused. Let’s just be honest and admit we don’t know anything about HS players before they play a college game. There’s a reason why we aren’t employed as talent evaluators abd why we are limited to commenting on threads on the internet. But that would actually take humility and there isn’t too much of that here.

To be honest the way some of our top recruits have panned out recently. Either it's an indictment on the coaching staffs development or we might be qualified to do hs player evaluations. But i totally get what you're saying...

Not going to lie I thought Justice Oluwaseun was a bad transfer but he definitely proved me wrong! He held his own against Alabama in his First game with us. He wasnt spectacular by any means but he was definitely serviceable and he graded out as our best OL against them. If he can block Alabama caliber Edges then he's a definite quality Starter going against ACC Talent
I remember in a practice video McCloud mentioning how “strong he was” Zack McCloud has played alot of football, albeit is dreadfully. If he was blown away by his strength then he must be pretty decent.

Yeah I remember that, I brushed it aside when I Heard it because I was thinking he's just trying to be nice to the new guy lol. I guess he was serious

i'm guessing this is more a lashlee move than a diaz move. i doubt diaz will follow suit and bench any of the chumps on d. hopefully a d coordinator will step up and ask player "X" be benched. come on t-rob, make the call.

So what’s the deal with Williams? Just moving on from his because he’s a 6th year guy? Is he that bad that he starts last year but now doesn’t even play?

According X from Footballville there has been bad blood between RT Jaren Williams and Coach Justice for a long time now, an Coach Justice finally benched him due to that an his on field play. Now X could be full of crap & Hennessy, but something is definitely up with Williams.

Fast Forward to the 53 minute mark.

Wow! That would make sense if there is beef. Wonder if it’s recent because then he should’ve just entered the draft and never came back.

You're right.

Evaluation is not hard. Also, the idea that the professionals are actually good at this is a misnomer. NFL Draft discussion circles online bring this up as a counter to a regular guy posting their analysis...like, do we not understand that NFL teams bat sub-.500 on their picks...even the best. In college...go look at some of Saban's recruiting classes. He's not going 25 for 25 and he's not finding some obscure diamonds in the rough. He's sorting that list by OVR and offering the best of the best and taking the best 25 he can get commitments from. You look at Miami's classes and I'm pretty sure a collective of decent posters from CanesInsight, Rivals, 247, scout dot com (RIP), etc could do a better job most years at identifying talent than Shannon, Golden, Richt, Diaz could, and no one on those sites makes a dime doing it and doesn't have access to a fraction of the resources these jabrones do.

Now, professional evaluators have more access to information...so, medical stuff, unknown character concerns, comments from coaches, etc...but those are bits of information anyone "in the circle" can get and don't make you a better evaluator because your medical team says a guy has heart problems or you were able to speak with his coach and he tells you he's an ******* malcontent.

Surprised Scaife has never ended up better than he is.
He has never been good, you all heard the greentree hype. I'm surprised he is still here, but then again these lames listed Herbert and Reed as 2nd tier guys. Those two have no business near this program. He was getting abused in HS
Donaldson looked absolutely awful out there as well. Need to give the younger guys some burn!
He's a bum! He was giving up inside pressure left and right.

What do you mean, we already did what we had to midgame.. Bench his ***.. This is performance based, he didnt and he was held accountable. Justice took his opportunity and made best of it, thats life..
Im just trying to make sense of what d money was saying
