DE is scary to me. As to Scaife, I said elsewhere, at least Coach Justice is making adjustments on personnel. The rest of the coaches are still running Cam into the Bama middle on 3rd and 7.

Should of been Chaney. Chaney would of been stopped as well their weren't really any lanes. But u suppose to put the more talented kid in and Cam isn't the best of that bunch. Also scared for Thad Franklin. Why didn't Saban want that big boy? He loves big backs. I'm assuming it has to be a speed issue and bama likes guys that run away from people. Red flag to me

I don’t even think it’s seniority , I think he’s just loyal to some kids more than others. There’s plenty of kids playing now. Hes very close with pope and Wiggins, their relationship goes back some years. But to his credit he finally benched them.

That tells me Southridge can't coach or develop their players. IMO SoFLA kids as a whole have tons of raw talent but consistently lack fundamentals, the exception being our powerhouse private programs, I remember Urban in an interview saying he preferred recruiting heavier in Texas, Ohio, and Georgia cuz those states high schools produce more polished kids.

This definitely seems to hold true for McCloud and Carter. He’s unusually loyal to both of them.

3 years too long an experiment. I said this last year with these same guys who haven't developed - that should have been the year you saw the improvement. This year hoping the same crew that finished in lower 25% would somehow miraculously become a cohesive improved unit, was wishful thinking. OL is what makes the engine run and the engine hasn't run well in a couple decades.

Here's something else: Miami is by far the southernmost of NCAA football teams. Without 10-11 win seasons or chances at the playoffs, the real good / big cornfed kids don't want to play in the heat down here - and Southbeach don't trump that.

Backing up at LT. Perhaps only because Nelson was out for most of the summer, so he was getting lots of reps there.

I'd be curious if a line configuration of LT Nelson LG Rivers C Gaynor RG UNLV RT Williams isn't the best overall unit. I don't see how Donaldson and Scaife provide the best foot forward in any package and seem to be best suited in backup roles on the inside at this point.

Seeing Ousmane Traore, Cleveland Reed, and Kai-Leon Herbert on the actual depth chart is ******* alarming, and moving Donaldson and Scaife into THEIR roles makes things seem a little more palatable. Clark, too, as a backup on the inside. We lack depth at the tackle spots, but we already knew that, but Nelson and Williams, IMO, are probably the best two tackles and Oluwaseun is surely one of our best 5 and his versatility and experience with Justice give us some flexibility. Do you go with a combination of Williams/Oluwaseun or Oluwaseun/Donaldson...the former seems much better to me.

(with all that said, its a unit that still places average on their best day in the ACC)

Donaldson, Scaife and Gaynor should never play again. Nelson is on deck.

Gaynor especially. GET THIS KID OFF MY TELEVISION SCREEN
