I was high on lagway coming into this season. I watched several Florida games. I saw what he looked like.

I still think he has talent and can be coached up. His footwork was a mess this year and it caused accuracy issues. If I recall correctly he missed spring and fall camp and was thrust right into the fire. You gotta work on your swing at the range, not while you’re out on the course.

Idk. This might end up being a freezing cold take. But I’d roll the dice here. High upside, low floor.

Not unless UF is willing to pay Mensah buyout from Duke. Remember he signed a 2 year 8 million deal with Duke. The Athletic story on him from last year included some details of the process and mentioned a buyout if things didn’t work out.

UF would need to pay the buyout plus at least 4 million. Don’t see them doing that.

Also saw on twitter that Florida is targeting Aaron Philo, GT’s backup QB. Makes sense in that they have hired 5-6 assistants/analysts including OC Buster Faulkner from there but taking an ACC backup QB is not gonna make the jort wearing mouth breathers up there very happy.

Interesting on Philo. Wish them luck recreating the give your QB CTE offense with someone who is not Haynes King
 
Remember when Gators fans trying to say there was nothing odd about their Franchise QB not throwing a football for almost 9 months? No surgery required…. The handling of that situation was amateur by UF.

Lagway is *** it’s on film. Bailey will be our starting QB next year and I’m not upset about it.

Think Lagway ends up at Baylor or Houston.
