just logged in this morning and see that the idiot nystateofstupidity finally got sent back to the THUNDERDOME...maybe they'll leave this idiot there this time.Guy is a pain in the ****.

Don't know if D J is leaving or not but at least we won't have to listen to this gnomes idiotic views on it whichever which way it ends up.
 
I am not going to trash the kid or downplay his potential. It would hurt. Our defense needs disruptive players that can impose their will and create negative plays. He has this ability written all over him.

I am not surprised when an 18 or 19 year old kid doesn't realize how far away 2,500 miles is until he is living, not visiting, 2,500 miles from home.

What I would find surprising, and disappointing, is if his reason is playing time. You're a true freshman. We rotate a ton. You're all-world and will see a ton of time in the very near future, but an every snap starter the moment you're here isn't realistic.

I'd prefer if the problem was the former honestly. That's more manageable.

Hope he sticks it out, he has a big career ahead of him here.

Honestly, that was a Shannon bungling more than anything. He "wasn't very good" according to Coach Radio until his last two weeks of his sophomore year on the scout team. He would later become Big 12 DPOY.

I agree with many of your takes, but I think this is an urban myth that has somehow been propagated and has turned into fact. There may have been some random message board chatter like this by porsters, but there’s nothing out there about DJ even hinting that he was going to flip. He was solid. Pete even had an article about how he was a solid and it was all DJ talked about.

As far as now, anything’s possible, but D$ is the only one that’s said anything worth noting. And it was somewhat nebulous.

No reason to act like a ****y little 12 year old girl. You’re absolutely wrong that there’s no smoke around DJ thinking about leaving. D$ told you that. He might not leave, but, make no mistake, there’s plenty of smoke around this issue.

There’s definitely smoke.

Whether it’s just a temporary thing he’ll get over, or maybe already has, and is nothing to be concerned about, remains to be seen. I think the time after the bowl game will tell us more.

You can think it was an urban myth. But I remember the discussions on here that included screenshots from DJ’s social media telling Warshington fans he was going to flip to Warshington. Isn’t it a little odd to you that he suddenly started following Warshington coaches especially given the smoke around his visit there?

I knew I could tease the message board bully into taking the bait with even a bit of a challenge. Thanks for proving me right. I don’t know where this board would be without your always insightful attacks on others as soon as anyone disagrees with you.
 
Not aware of the existence of any DJ social media telling UW fans he was going there. I don’t think that happened. There would have been a major shltstorm and I think I would have remembered if that were the case.

That would have caused a huge meltdown on this board.

My theory is that Coach Kool wants to further burnish his reputation for developing DL by having as few as possible on the roster, especially guys that were highly-ranked recruits. That's why we only signed one DL last week. If he can coach up guys like Fines and Martin, his reputation will go through the roof.
